Thank you. I appreciate your response. However, I'm curious how that relates to finding out the names of the people that like the particular page.

On reading your post, which made me anxious, I went to Amazon and logged in with my username and password. I suspect Gerald may have the right answer. But as he says, Amazon should know better. And as you say, anyone who encounters this new obstacle should make their displeasure known to Amazon.

I've used Sharp Keys. It works pretty good. I had to remap broken keys to unused ones that work. The only problem gets to be getting used to the broken layout too much when it doesn't exist elsewhere.

What is being talked about is that when you are playing a file on the NLS Player, it must reside in a folder called audio+podcasts if there are any other talking books on the flash drive. In addition, there should not be any other files in this audio+podcasts folder besides mp3 files.

Re: Amazon issues

I placed an order with Amazon two days ago and did not encounter any image captcha. If you have not logged into Amazon in a long time, it is possible that they present the captcha for security purposes and treat you like a first-time shopper. But as long as you shop regularly on the site as I do, you should not encounter a captcha again after this initial log-in. Still, blind consumers should not have to deal with an image captcha under any circumstances on the site of the world's largest online merchant, and perhaps you should contact the NFB, which loves to sue companies whose web sites are not blind-friendly.

Hi all,

If you go directly to the folder, open it and locate the file and enter on the file, it does not matter if there are different kinds of files in the folder. For example, my downloads folder has text files, Word files, and MP3 files. If I get into my downloads folder and find a MP3 file and enter on it, it will open in my default music player. It doesn't matter if different files are in the folder with the MP3 file. I hope this clears up things. Take care.

I do recall many versions ago that the merge utility cause havoc from one version to the next. The people at FS remember that event. I also know that persistence doesn't always work. I've had my own frustrations with FS over time. But the merge utility was basic to the transition from version to version, and most of us JAWS users depended on it. Hi all, Here is the tutorial on Google Chrome Browser that I have promised you. It is a Audio MP3 file that will play on about anything. I go over how to save files, and use Surfs Up to demonstrate everything you need to know about using different combo boxes and all you need to know when using a browser. I hope you enjoy it. It is an hour long. The link below is a drop box link. I fixed my drop box, so this link should work fine. Enter on the link and a page will open up. Go to almost to the bottom of the page and enter on the download link. You can save it to your computer. I hope you can get even more out of Google Chrome. Here is the link below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ni7ydojdlehiqsc/Tutorial%20for%20Google%20Chrome.m p3?dl=0 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Does that mean that MP3 files can not be saved in folders with other kinds

How does one turn off "smart navigation" for specific sites? I thought that

you could just turn it on or off - not application specific. Always ready to learn... Jim H

Cc: Barbara Corner Subject: speaking "cell" in internet explorer tables I just upgraded to JAWS 17 and am having issues with how JAWS handles tables in internet explorer. I have two websites which are made up of tables, one is for our email and JAWS used to put the name of the sender, the subject , the date etc on separate lines so I could read it easily and click on the button to open it. Now JFW 17 puts it all on one line and says "cell" "cell" which is pretty annoying. Any hints for this? Thanks! How to register a complaint about no Merge Utility in JAWS 17
Tim Ford
I changed the subject line only. Please try to avoid using a subject line that refers only to "RE: Jfw Digest, Vol 54, Issue 16"!

So, I took the technical support person at his word, and sent my concerns accordingly. So far though, there has been no reply from FS! However, the more people who do share their concerns in this way, the more likely that FS will do something - constructive! So, come on people, strike a blow for those who need/want to keep access to their JAWS settings on their PCs! Thank you. Jim H

wait and see what they are actually talking about before getting worked up about it.
