Microsoft's Visual Basic Editor

Annabelle Susan Morison

Hi, it's Annabelle.
I'm wondering, is it possible for me to open a program, for example,
Atmosphere Deluxe, with Microsoft's Visual Basic Editor? The reason why I
want to do this is because I'm trying to make it accessible for
sight-impaired customers. I've tried sending an email to
support@vectormediasoftware.com, but the head developer, Nick Moulds, still
hasn't got an answer for me yet. What do I do next?

Re: basic key command

Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)

That's my preferred method. With our Interchange program, that has about a jillion links, the list is essential. For instance, when I want to see a member waiver, I go into the list, and hit M 27 times--yep, 27. I have another function that requires 29 taps, but imagine how slow scrolling would be.

You can tab from link to link, shift-tab to go back. With JAWS you
can put all the links into a list with insert-f7.

I use Windows 7 and Firefox.

When the download is in progress, I use the CTRL+j hotkey. This puts me into the current and past downloads list. The current download will be in progress.

Assisting in resource Lab.

Hello Listmembers:

As follow up to the message that I posted last evening, per the response
that I received, (thank you) using JAWS in 40 minute mode would really be a
hassle, specific to how I will be assisting clients.

As it turns out, the Americorps site where I will be working has a copy of
JFW, (will need to find out which version.)

It would make sense to install it on a dedicated computer in the Resource
Lab for my use, in working with clients.

it. You shouldn't lose your data. Normal.dotx
is the template you get when you open a blank

Re: Boostspeed 8

Hi JIm,

With the Boost Speed 8 window open, try routing your Jaws cursor to the PC
cursor, Jaws key + Numpad minus key, press the page-up key, to take the
cursor to the top of the page, press the Home key to go to the beginning of
the line, use the Jaws key + right arrow key to get to the, Close button, &
do a left mouse click simulation keystroke on this close button.

Or, with the Boost Speed 8 window open, open the file menu, & see if there's
a close / exit option in here. In 1 of the tabs you should find a programs
settings option that you can open & tell Boost Speed to show in the system
tray but, remember to go into the system notifications & tell it to show
Boost Speed 8 / Auslogics in the system tray.

HTH
Take care.

Re: how to fix issue with Word 2010 on saving

Ed Marquette <marquette.ed@...>

I had never encountered this message until recently. I have now had it happen on both a Windows 8 and a Windows 7 machine, both running Word 2010.
Sometimes the error is persistent until reboot, and sometimes, if I do SAVE AS, using a different file name, the problem goes away.
I have found no way of predicting when the problem will happen. It seems almost to be random. It is disconcerting. The threat of losing edits in a 60 page document is disquieting -- to say the least.

Strange. What if you open that document and select all the text and copy it to the clipboard then paste that text onto a new blank document then save the file. Will you still experience this message once you begin working with this new document that you have just created?

Hello, Word 2010 has started to display, “This file is already in
use. Please rename file.” Upon looking in the dialog box it display,
“normal” as a file name. I am running word 2010 and Windows 10. I went
into the options on word and looked under, “Saving” and checked to
ensure that the files were saving as, “Word .dox.” If someone could
help with this that would be great. Thanks, Tom Macha
