Re: Reading epub books

Brad Martin

EPub is not a Publisher file. It's an electronic publication format designed primarily for mobile devices, although there are readers for your PC as well. My recommendation to you is to download Adobe Digital Editions. That's what I use for my IRS Epubs, and it works quite well for me.

Re: what to expect with jaws 17

Paul Martz <skewmatrix@...>

Follow the link in the original post, it takes you to a web page. Then tab
to the FS Cast 113 link, and use the application context menu. There's an
option to "save target as". That will download the file for you.

I have JAWS set on Intermediate. I wonder if setting it on beginning would
make the Alt say Alt. Mine does not say Alt. I am sure that it would not on
advanced either.

Best from,

I take it the intent is to stop JAWS verbalizing "alt" when the alt key is

wonder if it's a function of the synthesizer. (I don't use Eloquence.)

That said, if I press alt on an application that uses a ribbon, JAWS
verbalizes the first item. Ditto on an application that uses the old file
menu. On my desktop, however, JAWS says nothing when I press the alt key.

I wonder if the problem is one of asking the right question. It isn't so
much silence that you'd want, but for JAWS not to verbalize "alt." Unless I

list of stations - free football radio

Daniel McBride

Dear Group:

This is for all of you guys and gals interested in football. In early
August, Virtual Knight posted a message regarding the website
freefootballradio.com

In the 3 weeks of preseason games since Knight's post, I have been tracking
all 32 teams on this site. At one time, or another, I successfully listened
to the games of 26 teams' through this site. Six teams: Green Bay,
Jacksonville, Miami, Minnesota, San Diego and Seattle were blacked out due
to contract and copyright issues, and I was never able to receive their
games through their stations. I was, however, able to listen to these 6
teams games on the station of their opponent.

Below is the complete list in alphabetical order with the radio stationed on
which I managed to get the games.

I wish to thank Virtual Knight for his post in early August. I love football
and I am looking forward to a great season of free football listening to
noon games and afternoon games during which my Dallas Cowboys aren't
playing. Again, thank you Virtual Knight for this awesome lead.

I'm thinking that is the intent, and I just pressed the alt key here in
outlook and over on ie, and alt was not spoken; however, my question on the
other list pertained to a certain application where alt was always spoken
when using it with another key, and I wanted it to be silenced only in that
application.

If you are talking about a windows explorer window, tab to the header
bar, select the 'Name' item and hit space.

Hi, Daniel. It will be different, depending upon which version of Windows you are running. Please give us this information, and we will try to help you.

Applications key, then arrow to sort, press enter and make your selection. That's how it is in most lists anyway. I haven't done it in documents.

Re: Need Recommendation for an Accessible and Powerful Media Player

Marsha <marcatony@...>

Hi
It is just a choice you make when you go through the settings. Jaws says not to use it but I have used it for years and haven't had a problem. If you want to use, for some reason, a different player, you must uncheck it because it believes you really want to use Winamp. Hope this helps.

Jaws is popping up a screen about braille drivers it does not recognize.
I wish to copy it to get tech help.
How do I copy a screen so I can paste it in an email or document?

Thank you for all your help Mark
