Marquette, Ed <Ed.Marquette@...>

Yes, but reading Schemes is Jaws key (insert if you will) plus Alt plus "S"

The Proof Reading scheme is one of several factory-created voice schemes.
Proof Reading can be helpful. The voice changes with different attributes,
e.g., bold, italics, underlining. It also enunciates capitalization in a
more precise way than does the classic (default) voice scheme.
In other words, it says "Cap" prior to a word with an initial capital letter
and "Solid Caps" for a word in solid capital letters.

The Jaws key is the insert key. It is not the same as the jaws cursor key.

All,

After the emergency shuffle of yesterday/today, we're still experiencing
some DNS related issues with list subscribers. Those issues are beyond my
control, but are slowly resolving themselves. However, until they do
completely, mail may be delayed for some users. I'll appologise in advance,
but know I'm keeping an eye on it from here and will update when I know more
about when we'll be back to normal.

Hi,
I suppose this is as good a time as any to ask this.
I have a new HP Notebook on the way with W7 64 bit and I will run Office
2007.
Now, were you I would you load the most current version of Jaws 11 or take
the chance and go for JAWS 12 latest version?
From all I have seen it sure seems to me that we got ripped off with 12.
Hopefully 13 will finally fix the JAWS 12 problems and not create a myriad
of new ones.

Off hand, I can't recall a more problematic JFW rollout than version 12 and
all its subsequent updates. The patches to fix this or that issue and not to
mention the over all performance issues some of which have somewhat been
addressed, but others are still waiting to get fixed.

I'm downloading the update out of habit, but considering that there's not
much addressed here, I'm not sure I'm going to bother installing it. I'll
maybe give it a shot to see if by any chance over all performance is better
then those other v12 editions from earlier in the year.

I have had my share of troubles with JAWS, over the years.
But I have to say, I am not having near the trouble some of you all are
talking about with version 12.
I installed the latest update this morning, it seems to work just great. I
don't know all the specifics of what was changed.
But my navigation is mostly all good. The responsiveness is good. On my
Windows 7 Home Premium Dell desktop, outside of my still going bonkers when
I try to get deep into the ribbon nightmares, the recent version of JAWS
seems to be working quite well.

Some of you I am sure are not making it up, the things you are describing.
But I just thought I would put in my 2 cents, lest everyone get all hepped
up and a scared of 12.

Thanks.
Rik

Marvin Hunkin <startrekcafe@...>

hi.
had jaws 12.0.5.61, now got the 67 version.
when i was using the 61 version, with windows mail and windows vista home premium sp2, on a toshiba laptop.
the digest would crash with jaws?
has any one still using vista, had this same problem.
will reading it in the gmail interface using firefox or internet explorer fix this?
thank you.

Re: 12.0.1167

Cy Selfridge

In my opinion FS should count 12 as a free version and give us credit for
it. Thus, if you were supposed to get 12 and 13 I think you should get 13
and 14.
12 does remind me of the infamous version 4.0. (LOLLLOLLOLLOL)

I have both 11 and 12 on my lap top right now and am currently using 11. I
think FS should fix all these bugs in version 12 for free and make us pay
for 13 only when they come out with something new.

Hi,
I suppose this is as good a time as any to ask this.
Cy

Off hand, I can't recall a more problematic JFW rollout than version 12 and
all its subsequent updates. The patches to fix this or that issue and not to
mention the over all performance issues some of which have somewhat been
addressed, but others are still waiting to get fixed.

I'm downloading the update out of habit, but considering that there's not
much addressed here, I'm not sure I'm going to bother installing it. I'll
maybe give it a shot to see if by any chance over all performance is better
then those other v12 editions from earlier in the year.

I find it very interesting that while one ResearchIt source was fixed in
12.1167, MLB was not. Not sure about other sports providers as I have not
tested them yet.
