I haven't looked lately, but I think a manual was once part of the JAWS package, and I know one exists.

Not sure if you got a more intelligent response than Kevin's. First, touch the Windows key and type System sound You will get an option something like, change system sounds. Hit enter and tab twice. Use your tab key to navigate to the tree view, if you have not landed on it already. Arrow down until you find new mail notification. Tab twice to see what sound if any is selected. Any WAV sound will do but the default is Windows Notify.wav If no sound is set you will need to, arrow down until you find a sound you like or tab twice to browse for a sound and set it. Don't forget to save your changes after setting the sound you will need to tab to the apply button and use it. HTH Jeff jeff@teameei.org

quick question aboot blindtunes
Kimsan <kimsansong@...>
I just purchased the latest blindtunes scripts.
I briefly listened to the 47 minute demo on the site talking aboot how to use it. During the demo, it said we could select individual tracks by pressing CTRL down arrow and pressing spacebar. It sucks that one cannot do that without scripts with the latest itunes. When I did this, I was told I can only do it during a play list, so I cannot do this within the library so I can quickly add songs to a play list? So, I can only do this from within a created play list? I'm going to listen to it through one more time tomorrow night, as I just purchased the scripts a few minutes ago, and I was to tired to listen and pay attention to the demo. And, I'm aware of the keystroke to get a list, but I like audio demos.. My brain is different like that as it relates to processing information. Lol Thoughts are welcomed though. I love you guys on this list. Good night. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Is anyone familiar with outlook 2013
David Ingram
Hi list members, I'm wanting to know if anyone is familiar with outlook
2013? The reason why I ask this question is because I want to create folders for different messages to go to from different lists that I'm on. I'd like to make sure that the different folders are all the same level as my in box. I would appreciate any information that you might have concerning my inquiry. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi. You don't mention if you arrow up or down once you land on one of the menus-file, edit, accounts, etc. On my system, which is similar to yours, these menus work tonight. I just checked.

In Jaws 16, Office 2013, and Windows 7, it is in the context menu, down arrow to rules, left arrow, down arrow to manage rules and alerts, press enter, and tab, or control tab around in the following warren, and you should come across what you are looking for, lol. Cheers Kevin.

From all accounts, most of what we as screen reader users do with Windows 7and 8.1, we should be able to do with Windows 10. The new Windows 10 has a new web browser called the Edge, which may not deliver the best web experience in the beginning. You can learn more about that by listening to the Windows 10 discussion on Fs Cast EP 109. Glen Gordon was a guest on that show, and he talks in depth about Windows 10. Also, from what he said on the show, when you first install Windows 10, you won't have JAWS speech. You will have to use narrator at first, and then once the set up wizzard has finished, you can run JAWS and it will work, as long as you have the latest build of JAWS 16. Magic users must be running version 13. I am a little concerned about how frequently Microsoft plans to update this new version of Windows. That was also discussed on the FS cast episode I referenced earlier. I wonder how that will affect JAWS performance or any screen reader or magnifier performance for that matter. Can you find JAWS like with Windows F or on the Start menu? If you can, get into it, then hit Alt and go down to Send Sub menu, then Right Arrow, then Down Arrow to where it says Short cut to Desktop. Hit Enter. I hope it will be that simple for you.
