Hi Aidan,

Is Jaws showing in the system tray? If Jaws isn't showing in the system
tray, pressing Insert + J won't work.
Take care.

Perhaps because Pandora is required to limit the number of consecutive

Barbara,

You need to add an application called "Hope," designed so that visually
impaired people can use Pandora. There's an up-front charge, but it does
make a difference. I'm sure you'll be able to find it by Googling. As I
recall the charge is nominal. If you don't succeed, please post again and
I'll check my files. Right now I'm rushing.

Hi JFW Friends,

This is probably a crazy question, but, I have signed up for Pandora radio,
however; the music starts playing, therefore; I can't hear the information
on the page. How do I stop the music? I couldn't seem to hear anything that
said "stop" etc.

I want to enjoy this service and have tried several times before. Just can't
understand how to make it work.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a different thought:
the industry changes quickly;
today's pc is outdated by tomorrow;
buy only what you really need;
spend only what you must;
and be ready to buy another later.

Also, this may sound a little crazy, but my recommendation when buying
a computer is to come up with a realistic budget and then spend it. Do
not try and get by with spending $400 if you are willing to spend $500
and that extra hundred won't cause you problems.

Thanks so much.

HI
No you do not need to have Pandora open when you install Hope. It logs in but other than that there isn't any relationship. When you use hope, it doesn't change the settings on Pandora. I use Pandora when I want to listen to Jimmy Buffett. If I want other stations, I use hope.

A friend just got herself a shiny new system with Windows 8.1
pre-installed. Knowing absolutely nothing about Windows 8, I thought
I'd ask the resident experts. Kathy Ann Mirtha had an excellent audio
and text book tutorial for Windows 7 with JAWS; is there one of the
same caliber for Windows 8?

I have also recently started using JAWS with Windows 8, and it is
fundamentally the same as Windows 7. There are a few minor differences, but
the overall experience is largely similar. One problem which I initially
faced was that Word used to open a large set of documents in protected view
which created a lot of problems, so that necessitated a change in the
settings.
