Re: Broadcasting advice with JAWS

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the advice. This is exactly what I am trying to do as I do not want to walk into the clase and have no idea about what I am studying. Plus I want to know with which audio editing software JAWS works, or if there are any scripts for these software. I am also going to contact my college to find out what software they use. Do you know of any tutorial resources for these software? Thank you, Ariel

Ariel
Hi Paul,
How are you? This is Ariel from the JAWS list. I just saw your message. I'm interested in GoldWave and all of this software. I would like to study broadcasting, but I have no experiences with editting audio etc. How can I learn more about this software. Do you have any tutorials or happen to know of tutorials? Thanks, Ariel

I probably do. I described it, because I couldn't think of the correct name. I turned off the feature years ago! As I said, delete one message with Ctrl-D, and the next one opens automatically. As I recall, it poses no problem if you delete the message from the inbox with nothing open.

JAWS help for Outlook contains a section on getting started with the program. One change I would recommend is turning off the reading pane for all mail folders, or at least for your inbox. While some users find this feature useful (because it allows them to preview messages without opening them), I don't like it because it marks my messages as "read" before I have a chance to read them, and the only way I've been able to resolve this issue is by setting the reading pane to "off". -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [ mailto:jfw-bounces@...] On Behalf Of Jean Menzies via Jfw Sent: Sunday, May 24, 2015 11:53 AM To: JawsList 1 Cc: Jean Menzies Subject: Setting up Outlook I'm starting a new job tomorrow, and will be using Outlook.
