Hi Justin,

There are some short cut keys you can use to do everything you mentioned.
Below are details of the shortcut keys from a post not so long back from
another user which is really helpful

There are keyboard shortcuts built into Youtube. If you turn off the virtual
cursor, meaning you can't then use first letter navigation keys, you can
then use the letters j k and l to rewind, play/pause, and fast forward. If
it's Jaws, the keystroke to turn off the virtual cursor is insert Z, and
again to turn it back on. However, if you're listening to a YouTube and all
you really want to do is pause and get up from your seat for a break, then
use the pass through key, which in Jaws is insert 3 on the number row. This
lets Jaws ignore the next key press, so you could just press K to pause the
video. Then when you're ready, use the pass through key again and type K to
resume playing.

Hello listmembers:

I have been a longtime visitor to Youtube, listening to many songs and
watching interviews and videos compatible with many of my interests
including, music, literature and history. Through all this time though, I
didn't use any of the controls: (rewind, fast forward, Pause, Mute etc. I
wasn't sure if they were accessible with my older version of JAWS.

Now that I have JFW16, I want to use Youtube more effectively and access
these controls. A day or so ago, I opened up Youtube through Firefox and
turned off the Virtual Cursor. When I started tabbing around, none of the
above-mentioned controls were referenced: just the standard Youtube links.

Any help/direction is surely appreciated.

Best, Justin

I agree, especially when it comes to software for Windows; this seems to be

As client I'm using Filezilla. It's long I tried the server from Mozilla so
I don'¨t know how accessible and useful it is but the client is very good.
My server software is an old version of Ser-U FTP Server (not free). Nwer

Filezilla is a good ftp client, but I am using an older version of Ftp voyager myself. This is a paid version. The ftp voyager versions they now have are free, but not that accessible.

As ftp server I am using Filezilla server. This is a good ftp server. no problems with it.
You have to study a bit, because it works a bit different than serv-u, that I was using in the past.

Thank you,
I got it working now.
I uninstalled the fredom scientific video drivers from add or remove programs.
I then removed Jaws 14, with all setting and shared components.
I then run a repair on Jaws 16 and its working now.
Thanks again.

Hello All,

I have window7 with desktop 32 bits !! I'm having problem when I unloaded
Jaws by press insert + f4 then press spacebar then I waited for 2 or 3
minute then when I try to get jaws to come back on ,I press run key then
type in jaws15 press enter jaws never came back on so I waited about 10
minute to see if jaws will come on so it didn't so I try another keystroke
command alt +shift + j that didn't work either so I try another keystroke
press ctrl +shift + j it's still not work either !! What is the right
keystroke command ? Also I had to shut down the computer so when jaws came
on I went to jaws window I can't remember what I'm looking for to see if
the
box is off for jaws not to come on when unloaded jaws ,Does anyone know
what's the name for to check the box in setting and show me how to get
there?

Addison

Re: Multiple Instances of JAWS

Adrian Spratt

I don't recall a prior discussion. I find a new instance occurs after I've pressed the JAWS key+Win key+F4 command.

It may very well be senility creeping in, but I thought, but
cannot now find, the explanation for why, on some occasions,
multiple instances of JAWS will appear in the System Tray or on
the Task Bar.

I cannot identify any specific pernicious effects, and when I
close JAWS, all instances of JAWS disappear.

Still, having the computer confused into thinking there are
multiple instances of JAWS cannot be a good thing.

Does anyone know what this is all about, or can you point me in
the right direction in the archives for this list, assuming I
didn't just dream up prior discussion of this issue?

Thanks!

Re: Which FTP Clients and FTP Server programs, are accessible using screen-readers, such as JAWS?

Jacob

As client I'm using Filezilla. It's long I tried the server from Mozilla so I don'¨t know how accessible and useful it is but the client is very good. My server software is an old version of Ser-U FTP Server (not free). Nwer version of Serv-U is getting worse when it comes to accesibility.

In addition, if there are list members who are hosting an FTP site, which FTP server program are you using?

Thank you in anticipation.

Re: Jaws 15 Problem in window7

Michal Nowicki <mnowicki4@...>

Don't forget that Ctrl Alt J will work only if you first set it up on your
machine; it is not enabled by default when you install JAWS.

For one thing, with many computers, the JAWS command to come on is Control
Alt J. If you'll -
1 hit Insert J;
2. the first thing will be Options;
3. Arrow down to the next, Basics;
4. Enter on Basics;
5. Tab, and I think the second one will give you the choice to check "start
with JAWS".
66. check that.

Mirror display driver not installed correctly

Robert Cole

Hi,
I reset Windows 7 PC to factory settings.
jaws 14 will not install display driver, I did a repair on j14 and installed j15 with no luck.
I even installed jaws 16. and get the same message after Jaws starts.
Mirror display driver not installed correctly
reboot your PC if you continue to get this message, run a repair on Jaws....
the video intercept manager option in the jaws utility menu is not available.
How do I fix this?
