Re: font and format configuration

You could try first pasting your info into Notepad which would remove all
formatting. Then copy that and paste it into your Word doc. Just a thought!

I just tried this and it does do what you are describing. What I remember
doing and what I want to do is to paste text from a web site or another
document into the one I am working on and have it format the text the same
as the rest of my document. I have an article I am writing where I am
pulling quotes from other places. Many of these quotes are formatted
differently and are hyper links in their origin. I need to be able to copy
and paste them into my document and have them be formatted like the rest of
the text. I remember doing this when I first started using word 2010 and it
was a life changer. Thanks so much

Here is one where it would potentially be helpful if we knew more about your
objective.
Instead of using control plus v, if you use control plus alt plus v, you get
an option every time as to the format you want. This works in both Word
2010 and Outlook 2010.
If you paste as text or Unicode text, everything takes on the font in effect
at the point where the paste takes place. There is also an option to paste
as formatted text -- as well as several other options pasting format .
In fact, I almost never use control plus v anymore.

As far as pasting goes, under the home ribbon there is a pasting option
where after pressing spacebar, it will ask if you want to paste text only,
paste special, or set default paste.

Dear list,

I'm wondering if someone can help me with how to change the copy and past/
cut and paste options in word 2010. I know that there is a way to have word
ask you what format you want to paste the text as, but I don't have that set
up and really need to get that option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can I suggest a less drastic solution? You just might have a message or
two
that you'll wish you'd read. Instead of deleting them all with control-a,
delete, do a search for a source you'll be comfortable losing. For
example,
to bring up all the messages you got from this list, do the following:

Place focus at the message list in the inbox.

Press shift-control-f.

Tab five times to the edit field for the "to" line. Type jfw. Press
enter.
This will bring up all messages sent to this list.

Eventually, JAWS will verbalize "Find now." Press F6 to go to the list of
JFW messages.

Now press control-a, then the delete key. You'll be asked to confirm, so
press enter. Press escape to get out of the dialog.

Now your inbox will be a lot lighter.

You may have another huge source of messages. Just follow this procedure,
changing only the search term.

Except sometimes a word in the subject field will be the term you need.
In
that case, tab just once after pressing shift-control-f to land in that
edit
field. If you want to search for a word in the "From" field, tab three
times
after pressing control-shift-f.

I hope this approach gives you a little more peace of mind. I'd hate to
miss
that one important or touching message someone sent.

Re: cloud storage

Hi Kevin,

I have written a blog post recently regarding cloud storage options.
If you would like to read said post, you can follow the below link.

Cloud Storage is Your Friend, Say Hello and Get Signed Up! | NiallJG91's Blog
https://nialljg91.wordpress.com/2015/05/12/cloud-storage-is-your-friend-say-hello-and-get-signed-up/

even though Dropbox may be the most straight forward, Google Drive
does have its benefits.
To find out how to create a Google Drive folder, which operates
similar to Dropbox, follow the below link.

https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2374989?hl=en

One Drive is also an option if you are using Windows 8 / 8.1.

Kind regards,

Niall

Carolyn Arnold <4carolyna@...>

Outlook has been around for years, so there are older versions, as well as Outlook Express, something called Eudora and others. Adrian's instructions were very clear cut. I followed them to the T, and they worked in Outlook Express which is now, you might say, extinct.

Type jfw. Press enter.

One way is to set up a reply, then arrow down through the headers. Often, though not always, the sender's email address is displayed in the "From" line. See below for a default example. This list also used to display people's email addresses, but not lately. Probably a good thing if you care about privacy.

Re: font and format configuration

Ed Marquette <marquette.ed@...>

Here is one where it would potentially be helpful if we knew more
about your objective.
Instead of using control plus v, if you use control plus alt plus
v, you get an option every time as to the format you want. This
works in both Word 2010 and Outlook 2010.
If you paste as text or Unicode text, everything takes on the font
in effect at the point where the paste takes place. There is also
an option to paste as formatted text -- as well as several other
options pasting format .
In fact, I almost never use control plus v anymore.

As far as pasting goes, under the home ribbon there is a pasting
option where after pressing spacebar, it will ask if you want to

Dear list,

I'm wondering if someone can help me with how to change the copy
and past/ cut and paste options in word 2010. I know that there is
a way to have word ask you what format you want to paste the text
as, but I don't have that set up and really need to get that
option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The SSD is fine, but you might want to ask about the processor, graphics card, battery life, and the sound card. Some of the sound cards make JAWS seem like it is stuttering.
