Extra Sounds in JAWS 16
Ann Byrne
I just received a new computer at work and upgraded to the JAWS 16.0 software. Witht the new computer and new software, I hear an annoying clicking/popping sound every time I type a letter or use the arrow or tab keys/etc…I called Tech support at Freedom Scientific and they indicated that the new sound cards/drivers have actually been a cause and they recommended dumbing down all of your sound settings. I guess I was hoping a good old fashioned Mono Tone option was available, but that is not an option any more. Have you ever experienced this? Thanks for any insight

Windows 7 Event Sounds
Annabelle Susan Morison
Hi, it's Annabelle.
I'm making several different sound schemes for Windows 7, and I want each of them to have a different startup sound when Windows starts. However, the only thing my computer will let me do is check or uncheck the box marked "Play Windows Startup Sound". Since I don't want all the themes to have the same Startup sound, I wonder if there's a safe and effective way to go about changing the sound for each theme I'm creating? What I mean is, is there a way to change the startup sound without completely ruining my machine? It seems funny how the sound can be changed within the Control Panel in earlier versions of Windows, but not Windows 7. Is there a reason why that happened? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Re: can't delete a folder in win 7
Adrian Spratt
Just a thought. How about searching for the same filename in with Windows 7 search? Identifying the new location of the file may enable you to delete it there, and also cause it to disappear from the location where you find it right now or for it to become removable.

To be sure, are you using the options brought up by the applications key when attempting to delete, rename, etc., the file?

Re: Navigating between tabs with Internet Explorer
Adrian Spratt
Keep in mind that when IE has been opened more than once, control-tab won't work. Instead, you need to switch between windows with alt-tab, as between two separate applications.
