Video Intercept Manager

Annabelle Susan Morison

Hi, it's Annabelle.
I have JAWS 10.0.1178U 64Bit version on my music machine, and I didn't see
Video Intercept Manager in the folder of files. I tried to open it from the
Utilities menu, but it gives me an error saying that it's not installed. How
would I install Video Intercept Manager?

Re: JAWS 16 issue with Word/Outlook 2013

Cristóbal

This was happening to me quite a bit and driving me crazy. I may not be the
the cleanist typist, but always having to go back and fix typos that I had
never made out of the blue every other sentence was maddening.
I had another Jaws issue going on and ended up deleting all the JFW 16 files
and slowly adding the backed up ones one at a time (JDF, JFC, etc.) and
wouldn't you know, not only did the issue I was originally having go away,
but so did this incredibly annoying problem with characters being misplaced
and magically appearing when typing.

Hi folks! I'm getting more and more frustrated with JAWS 16, and the
inability to do simple tasks with it. Today, I was working on a report in
Microsoft Word, and had to continuously correct spelling errors, because for
some reason JAWS likes to add characters, or in some cases, put the letters
in the wrong order when I type. This has just started with JAWS 16. I have
noticed it since day 1, and it has not been resolved yet. I hope someone
from FS monitors this list. This has to be fixed. The same thing happens
when sending emails. Thank goodness I proofread everything before I send it
out.

I was working with a student who had a similar problem. It turned out
he was using a Dell computer and there is some compatibility issue.
When he installed JAWS 16 he received a message that the mirror image
drivers did not install correctly. He contacted FS and they helped
him get everything fixed.

I use JAWS 16 and Office 2013, and I never had this problem. As far as I
know, FS does not monitor this list, so I recommend that you submit your
concern to FS tech support directly, either by e-mail or by phone? Good
luck!

I have had similar problems. I type a paragraph only to find that the
cursor got behind a few words of the prior sentence and injects typing after
that into the prior sentence. I only catch it after the paragraph is
finished and I go back and read it. Very annoying.

I haven't noticed these problems with Optasia. I got the entire dvd and use
the html Bible library quite extensively. Maybe you got a bad file. I'll
look at the New American on my disk if it's there.

Optasia is usable, but has its drawbacks. I recently acquired the New
American, only to find it was missing six books--every book with only one
chapter, along with the book of Acts. This would suggest an indexing
problem, in that each of these books, in its own way, differed from the
norm. Acts is the only book to begin with a, and the single-chapter books
would seem to explain themselves. I don't know if this is common to all
translations, both Catholic and Protestant, but it's worth noting. For
heaven's sake, is there anyone out there willing to sell a study bible
straight up, without a lot of fuss and bother. Thus far, Optasia is the
closest I've found.

I have Logos 4 Platinum with something like 2100 or 2200 books in my library
and can no longer use it now that I have recently lost the pretty much the
remainder of my vision. I still use magic a little but Logos doesn't work
with the latest version of either Magic or Jaws. I graduated from both
Bible college and Seminary and am still hoping to one day be able to use
current versions of both Logos and jaws to once again take advantage of most
if not all of my resources. I realize I may never again be able to use my
Greek, Hebrew, and Cuneiform language studies to the fullest again since I
can no longer sight translate the BHS, or any of my Greek or akkadian texts
but I still have a great many English texts that I would like to use and
begin teaching again.

Hi,

The software that Sharon recommended will get you started. From the
perspective of a seminary student you will not find everything that Logos
would have given you but it will definitely get you started and if you don't
know how to read enough braille to do the Greek and Hebrew texts that they
send along with their CD I suggest that you begin learning. It is a very
necessary skill if youwant to do serious bible Study using jaws. It was a
big blow to my ego and foolish pride to admit that I could no longer use all
of my resources and order the CD that they provide but I decided if I wanted
to use my Seminary education and begin teaching again I needed to take the
step and admit that I needed the necessary tools. I am now taking my Braille
all over again with Pinellas county Lighthouse for the blind and Hadley
school for the blind and I am using the Cd which was provided for use from
Optasia Ministries and jaws.

The short answer is No! Logos three was the last really accessible version.

logos bible software

Brian Howerton <bshowerton1@...>

Hello all,

Does anyone know if the logos bible software program is accessible with
Jaws? I am getting ready to start seminary in the fall, and would love to
get my hands on this program. Thanks so much,

Brian
