Re: selecting a size using jfw

Hey Kim.

I just looked up this which you might find useful....

To quickly locate a specific form control press INSERT+F5. This command
lists all form controls and their contents on the current page. Move through
the list and press ENTER to move to the selected control. Forms mode is
automatically enabled so you are ready to make changes to the control. And
if you have already entered information in a long form, use the Forms List
to quickly review the information.

This page has more details and other info that might help. Let us all know
if you get it to work and how...it seems to be a problem we all run into...

Kimsan, if you're on Amazon, I encountered this problem several months ago.
I think the solution involved a ridiculous amount of trial-and-error,
ultimately leaving me uncertain until I placed the order and quickly checked
my account before the 30-minute cancellation window expired.

You might consider giving up and doing the transaction via phone, if that's
an option for you. In the process, you can complain on behalf of all of us
who fear for the safety of our computer's monitors when frustration reaches
a certain level.

Amazon's phone is 866-216-1072.

Hi,
Sorry to tell you but JAWS 14, Office 2007 on a W7 64 bit machine does the
same blamed thing.
Sometimes all works well and you can tab to the choices and all goes well
but a whole lot of the time the blamed things goes silent while JAWS and
Office play in each other's drawers.
It is really annoying.

Heya folks,

For ages now using Jaws 15 on a windows 7 64bit PC and Outlook 2010 75% of
the time when I use spell check in Outlook 2010 Jaws loses speech when I
just tab past the first couple of options e.g language, ignore etc. Speech
seems to freeze on the Outlook program itself till I do a windows M key and
return to the desktop. Does anybody else have this issue? Is it fixed in
Jaws 16 as didnt seem to be fixed in any of the 15 updates.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim

hello;

give this a try;

1, insert+f2=run jaws manager.

2, press the letter k=keyboard manager press enter.
note you will land on the default.
3, tab one time your now in a list of default keystrokes, use the keystroke, ctrl+f=find, now type the hotkey, windows key+ctrl key+l tab once you will hear; active keystroke check box checked, tab once more, now press enter.
you will immediately hear/see your keystroke, something like, select windows+ctrl+l=language common.

you now can change the keystroke,
you need to press the keystroke,
alt+a=actions,
or you can go through the menu,
using the alt+a, you now arrow to the choice, Add Keystroke... Ctrl+A Add Gesture... Ctrl+G Change Keystroke... Ctrl+H Remove Keystroke Del Find Keystroke... Ctrl+F Find Gesture... Ctrl+Shift+F

obviously once you make the change you will need to okay it.

hope this helps.

the other thing you can do is,
if you still have jaws15 on the computer, just load when your using the qube.

hope this helps.

Dana,

Okay,

JAWS+F2
Then K for keyboard manager, press enter Type the letter d until you hear default Tab to the other pane
Ctrl+F to find a keystroke
Press Ctrl+Windows+L and press enter
you have landed on the key definition.

Delete it or change it to something else.

I am asking this as I use the twitter client the qube and it uses
control windows l so that I can follow peple and now in jaws 16
control windows l brings up a language dialogue and I do not wish to
have this come up is there a way I can disable that hot key?
