If memory serves, if you turn off the virtual curser with insert z, you can
press k and it will work.
It's an alternative, but I couldn't explain why the button doesn't work to
pause.

When I use IE 11, JAWS 15, and You Tube, I cannot make the video pause. If
I am using IE 10, and JAWS 15, you tube pause button works. I called FS and
they tried to use IE 11 and JAWS 16 to pause the video and it did not work
with 16. Any suggestions as to what I can do to make it work? Press B for
button does not work. JAWS may say Pause button but when you press the
spacebar, the video does not stop.

Jaws 16 not reading hidden text in Word

Jean Menzies <jemenzies@...>

For anyone using the Duxbury Word template to create braille docs in Word, or to put the proper coding in for braille documents, Jaws is not reading the hidden text codes. Hidden text can be made visible in Word the same as when you choose to view paragraph marks. I have hidden text set to be visible, but Jaws 16 is not reading the content.

This was discussed, but I didn’t pay attention to the solution.

I just ran the Jaws 16 installation CD and installed the update. But as was previously discussed, Jaws 16 is nowhere to be found on restart. I’m currently downloading the direct download from the website. But what is the solution to install Jaws 16?

To try to figure out when and how long you are a jaws user with the serial key is also an advantage because it can help tech support. If more than one user on this list confirm that it was stated to them that it was possible to determan when they got jaws, it means its a very good rest asure for others who might need that in future. And now after my great layout, maybe the rest you can figure and go to grade one if you don'tunderstand.

ongoing spell check

judith bron

In jaws 15 I was able to set jaws to announce spelling errors as they
occurred. With Jaws 16 I can't find in the jaws settings where I can adjust
to announce spelling errors. Any advice? Thanks, Judith

Re: Jaws 16 advantages

Charles Coe

The last two digits do not have anything to due as to when it was purchased.
If it did then it would seem as though I purchased before JAWS existed.

Does our JAWS serial number reflect when we started with JAWS?
I think I also started in '98 and the last two numbers in my serial number
are 98.

It didn't work for me. I was going nuts with a female voice that
mispronounced a lot of words and made it very difficult to edit. I
couldn't make it use different ppitches for lc and upper case letters.
I tried everything and had a lot of feedback from this list but
nothing worked. I guess we just had different experiences.

It did work in JAWS 15 because I use it regularly. I have been
using JAWS since 1998 and I can't remember when that feature didn't
work. I still use JAWS 16 on a limited basis because I am waiting
for some bugs to be worked out. I think it will be great in the next
release.

JAWS has had those features for several versions now. I would
guess they were not set up in the past or were changed. I am glad
they are working for your grandson now.

why these wonderful advantages suddenly appeared, but they did.

In my case, it does so says FS. When I gave my serial number the rep. said
he could tell when I first bought JAWS.
