please excuse my prior post, it was getting annoying getting your replies and I hadn't seen any full responded to work on unsubscribing done by you or mention of it.

three other things that can be done are to:
1. try going here and seeing if you can get things to work:
http://lists.the-jdh.com/options.cgi/jfw-the-jdh.com/[remove barackets and put in Email name]%40[put your isp/email domain here such as roadrunner.com again without the brackets]
2. make a Email filter that will catch and delete any Email from this list.
3. contact the admin and ask for his assistance at:

Okay, Robert. Will not send to your E-Mail any more -- at least not
privately. However if you want to be removed from the jfw list you need to
do more than just stamp your foot and complain. You either need to go to the
web site and unsubscribe, or change your E-Mail address.

Good girl Karen.
I also have not installed JAWS 12 for the same reasons.
Let's hold out for a "working" version of 12 before 13 comes around?
The questions actually should be "When will a stable version of 13 be
available?"

I'm guessing 13 will be out by the end of the year. It's up to you whether
to wait or not. You could always contact Freedom Scientific and ask if
they will honour a purchase of 12; that is, if 13 comes out right after
you buy 12, see if they'll give you the upgrade to 13 at no cost. It's
worth a try.

Hi Dave,

In XP there is not a, pin to start menu, option in the context menu. At
least I have never seen that option on my computers. Also, not everybody
has a, start menu, option in their, Send To, folder. At least, I didn't &
had to add it. Take care.

Again, not sure why you're doing so many steps for such a simple

there's
nothing to see here. Just go to the item you want to add, press

Hi All,

Below is a different way to use the applications / context menu to add items
to the start menu if you are running XP.

1. Open Documents & Settings in Local Disc C.
2. Open your name folder and press the letter " S " until you land on "
Start Menu ."
3. Press the applications / context menu key.
4. Arrow up or down until you get to " Create Shortcut " and press enter.
5. Now, you have a Start Menu shortcut at the bottom of your list. Cut this
shortcut and paste it into the Send To folder. If it reads "Shortcut to
Start Menu ", highlight it, press the F2 key to edit it, and delete shortcut
to, so it reads Start Menu only, and press enter to save the change. Now,
cut this and paste it into the Send To folder.
Now, if there is a icon on your desktop or a program you want to have in
your
Start Menu, just highlight it, press the applications / context menu key,
arrow to Send To and press enter or press the letter " N " for the Send To
folder and press enter, Now, arrow up or down to the Start Menu selection
or press the letter " S " until you have the Start Menu selection
highlighted, then press enter. You now have this program / Icon in your
Start Menu.
With a new addition to the Start Menu another thing to do is make sure
everything is in order. You do this by pressing the Windows key to open the
Start Menu, pressing the applications / context menu key, arrowing up to "
Sort By Name ", and pressing enter.

Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

about pinning items to the Start Menu are correct. If we're talking about
XP, the procedure is almost as simple.
1. Find the program that you want to add to the Start Menu.
2. Press the Application key or Shift-f10, then arrow down to Copy and
press Enter.
3. Go to the Start button and use the application key again. Arrow down
to Explore All Users and press Enter.
4. The Start Menu tree view will be open in Windows Explorer. Press Tab
once, then ctrl+v.
5. Press Alt+F4 to close Windows Explorer.
6. Open the Start menu as you normally do and you should find the new
entry.

Tom,

Man, where did you learn all that? I've been wasting my time all these years
groping through folders and subfolders, and all I needed to do was the
Applications key? I take my hat off to you, my friend. There's a whole lot
of Windows hidden in that Applications key just sitting there, waiting for
me to stumble on it.

Good stuff!

Karen,

If you have an SMA for 12 you do realize that even if you don't use it, you
still lose the SMA. If 12 is your last version on the SMA, you'll need to
renew the SMA to get 13, or wait and purchase 13 full price. Better check
with FS ASAP.

Yes I no there are some issues with Jaws 12.exe,
But seriously, I'm running jaws 12.exe, on a xp, vista, and windows 7
machine, I'm really not seeing a complete mess.
There are many others who are running the latest version, and things are
working good.

So, what are or were the issues you were experiencing?

cy, if we could not trust jaws twelve how can we trust thirteen when it
comes out. i think i will hold off on any future upgrades for a while. but
it is sad that we pay for something that is not worthy of of money. it is
buyer beware. karen

Good girl Karen.
I also have not installed JAWS 12 for the same reasons.
Let's hold out for a "working" version of 12 before 13 comes around?
The questions actually should be "When will a stable version of 13 be
available?"

I'm guessing 13 will be out by the end of the year. It's up to you
whether
to wait or not. You could always contact Freedom Scientific and ask if
they will honour a purchase of 12; that is, if 13 comes out right after
you buy 12, see if they'll give you the upgrade to 13 at no cost. It's
worth a try.

Will JAWS 13 be out this year, or should I just go ahead and get JAWS
