Fw: Learn Accessible Document Design using JAWS
Gary King
I don't know if everyone on the list gets these messages from FS, so I thought I'd pass it along. Here's a way for those who need some JAWS training to get it at a real bargain price. Well, at least FS seems to be saying that it's a bargain and only available at this price for a limited time.

Comments in MS-Word documents
Jason White
This is with JAWS 15, MS-Word 2007 and a document into which comments have
been inserted. I notice that JAWS announces the comment and speaks the comment text, but the braille display shows only the original text (no indication of the comment) unless I move the cursor to the exact location at which the comment starts. Has anyone else on this list seen such behaviour? Is there an option that I need to set? I checked that JAWS was configured (as it is by default) to present comment and footnote text.

David,
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
You can fix this by running any of the Office 2003 programs in administrator mode and accepting the license. For example, locate the excel.exe program using windows explorer, right click for the options & select run as administrator. Once you do this one time it will permanently update the status & you won't get that message anymore. --- hth --- D. DeCamp

As I remember, JAWS for DOS (the last version that I had used until recently) was copy protected in such a way that you couldn't restore it from a backup and continue to use it without having the product re-authorized. Fortunately, I never ran into that problem on my DOS computers back in the 1990s when I was using JAWS on a PC with a DECTALK speech synthesizer card.
