I am using Windows Live Mail to my Gmail account, and I like it very much. WLM gives you the types of features lacking in Gmail HTML mode.

I see this behavior in IE as well. What I do is use insert+escape to refresh the screen. It then reads the new page.

Well, as I mentioned in the first post on this thread, my experience has
been that when I follow a link in Chrome, Chrome follows the link and displays text from the new page, but JAWS still thinks its on the old page. it. When you uncheck the box for new line and paragraph marks, you can no longer have the paragraph marks identified as you read. I'm not sure why the two marks are lumped together as I find the paragraph marks helpful where as the new line indication is simply annoying. But thank you for the assistance. Perhaps I will email FS and see if this option vcan be turned into two separate boxes. Kimber
