Has anyone given this application a go with JAWS?

I think it is primarily a Windows 8/Android/iPhone/iPad kind of
application.

I actually have it on my Yoga IdeaPad. So far, I've had little
success.

Being asked to reauthorize a win 7 machine though nothing has changed

Kimber Gardner

Hi All,

Recently my windows 7 computer prompted me to reauthorize Jaws even though no changes had been made to the system. I have a couple keys remaining but am loathe to waste one on what seems like an operational glitch.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? If so, how did you handle it?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello,
I am looking for a tutorial for Windows 8.1 and Jaws, Office 2013 and Jaws and Windows 7 and jaws.
I looked on the Freedom site, but did not find anything.
If anyone has any files they could share, or links to give me, I would appreciate it.
Thank you,

Steve,

You can reference cells in other sheets by prefixing their cell coordinates
with an exclamation point.

For example:

=week1!a1 + week2!a1 + week3!a1 + week4!a1

Hi All,

Using Excel 2010, windows 7 and JAWS 14.

Trying to create a formula in excel that uses the same cell on multiple
sheets, taking weekly figures and adding them up to get a monthly figure.
The layout is the same for the other sheets, therefore the weekly figure
is going to be in the same cell, just on different sheets. So, how
would you suggest I accomplish this to get my monthly figure? We are
dealing with dollars, btw.

Subject: Icons say checked when navigating through the desktop windows 8.1.

Hi, I got on a friends computer today and I noticed that every time I
navigated through the desktop items, it announced the name of the icon and
it said checked right after it. The last time I got on another Windows 8.1
computer, it did not do the check part like my friends computer. How could I
change this so it will not say check.

James,
I doubt that your message rule construction is going to work for all list
members. It doesn't work for Windows Mail. In my Windows Mail headers,
the
Sender: line contains the correct information, but the From line contains
your name and email address. Unfortunately, there's no rule condition for
the Sender: line.

Re: Excel Formula

Ben Humphreys <brh@...>

Steve,

You can reference cells in other sheets by prefixing their cell coordinates with an exclamation point.

For example:

=week1!a1 + week2!a1 + week3!a1 + week4!a1

Ben

At 06:33 PM 3/26/2014, you wrote:
Hi All,

Trying to create a formula in excel that uses the same cell on multiple
sheets, taking weekly figures and adding them up to get a monthly figure.
The layout is the same for the other sheets, therefore the weekly figure
is going to be in the same cell, just on different sheets. So, how would you
suggest I accomplish this to get my monthly figure? We are dealing with
dollars, btw.

Hi listers,

Just wondering if anyone has discovered any stock trading software that is
functional with JAWS.

I've looked at a few such as Ninja Trader and various brokerages web-sites
and have concluded that most mainstream solutions are less than optimal for
a blind user.

I'd also be curious to know if anyone has ever tackled charts or attempted a
custom tactile chart-plotting application.

Thanks

Ben

Okay, I figured out how to get to the checkbox option in Win7. I hope there's something similar inn Win8.1.

1. Open Windows Explorer with Win key+e.

2. Press alt-v for view menu.

3. right-arrow once, then arrow down to folder options. Press enter.

4. Control-tab once, then tab once.

5. You land in a tree containing eighteen items. The item you want is "Use checkboxes to select items." It is an off/on control. It's near the bottom, so I suggest pressing home, then arrowing up two or three times.

6. Tab to OK.

Follow-up on my post last night. I usually test a method before posting, but I was very tired. This morning, I find I can't replicate the directions that worked for me in the past. At least the explanation for why items in WE and the desktop are set up as checkboxes might be helpful. I hope someone else can post directions on how to remove them.

Hi. I realize you're referring to win8.1, but perhaps this is helpful. I set Win7 to have checkboxes next to icons. Below, in case you're interested, I copy an explanation I came across for why this could be useful, then instructions for how to make the change, including how to reverse it.

If you're sick of Ctrl+Clicking a ton of files to select a group, you may want to enable checkboxes in Windows Explorer. It's a slightly lesser-known feature that's been around forever, but it can be very useful. Just head to the View tab and on the right-hand side, check the "Item Checkboxes" box. Now, when you hover over a folder or file, you'll see a little checkbox that you can toggle to select multiple files. It works in any view mode, but seems best suited to the Details mode.

Note. Here are the instructions I wrote to myself.
To get to view menu, first open W E, press alt-v, then right arrow once. You land in general. Control-tab
once  and tab to the 18-item list.
