I used a regular scanner without any blindness specific OCR.

When you scanned the signature, did you use Openbook or just scan the

I signed a plain piece of paper,
scanned it in,
saved it as a Microsoft Word 2010 document.
It shows up as an image so I copy the image and place it where it needs to
go on the document or form.
There is also a way to save it as a picture and then insert that picture
where you want it but I haven't done it enough to feel confident about
explaining it.

Re: Keystroke for Accessing Path Name in Save As Dialog?

david <davidwhitehead1957@...>

hello;

another way to find out an exact path to a folder is:

1, navigate to where the folder is;

do not press enter.

2, now press,
shift-key+applications key,
up arrow and enter on copy as path,
now the path is pasted on the clipboard.
this works for both folder and file.

When you use any program in which you create and edit files, when you open
the "Save As..." dialog box and, you press SHIFT+TAB, the number of times,
to move to the default folder for that particular program, JAWS should tell
you the name of the first file in the folder, (if any exist), and, that it
is unselected. Do not press the SPACE BAR, because, this will highlight the
first file in the folder. The result is that the name of that file will
appear in the "File Name" edit field, In addition, if you had already
entered a file name, in the edit field, it will be erased and replaced by
the name of the file, you just highlighted.

Thanks for this info. I do that shift+tab twice thing, but run in to the
danger of Windows hijacking a filename in the folder it points to and
renaming the file I want to save to that hijacked filename. I haven't

Re: Jumping to Radio Buttons in Jaws 15

Dave...

Dean,

Yes, that is available. However the next update of JAWS will likely
overwrite that. I have to do the same to the scripts in Excel, where I
continue to use the read row/column titles using Alt+Ctrl+1-4 since FS
decided to change them a few versions ago. Every major JAWS version that
comes out, I have to re-create the keystrokes manually.

Something else to know is that if, like me, you aren't crazy about the
change whereby a is the quick key for radio button and r for regions, you
can change the keystrokes in the Quick Key manager if you so desire.

Hey, guys. When I'm in a webpage, hitting the R key no longer allows me to
jump to a radio button. Has that changed in Jaws 15? I do mainly use IE8 on
an XP machine, so perhaps that has something to do with it.

The link is broken up between two lines. You need to copy and paste the first line into the "run" box; then go back and get the second line and do the same to it.

I'm not looking at the original link I sent to know if it is different,
but
I just activate this one and it worked:

If not, it could just be a temporary glitch. I got it from this page:

Tapin Radio is free, and Replay Radio 9 is the Cadillac for recording

Thanks Mary Ann! I think I can do that.

When you scanned the signature, did you use Openbook or just scan the
"normal" way?

I signed a plain piece of paper,
scanned it in,
saved it as a Microsoft Word 2010 document.
It shows up as an image so I copy the image and place it where it needs to
go on the document or form.
There is also a way to save it as a picture and then insert that picture
where you want it but I haven't done it enough to feel confident about
explaining it.
