Netflix blind command over player controls
John Martyn
Yes, we now have control over the player. You can play pause, fast forward and rewind, change volume, max to full screen, change audio and subtitles. Funny thing is, jaws reads the subtitles too! I don't think we want it to read the subtitles, but if you wanted to capture them it might be useful. I think this would be illegal though since it is copyrighted material. I don't think netflix would like that spreading around easily. There is now a shortcut to get to searching and settings in netflix. There is something that reports the second grouping of items with descriptions and allows you to select. Same with third group of items as well. I am still tweaking things around, but things will improve quickly as I decide what is important as a feature. Any suggestions so far?
Thanks, John Martyn

Use insert-1 to invoke the key describer. The same to get keyboard back to normal.

I will keep a look out. I use Jaws 17 and I know people who work with scripts full time but who are sighted. I will see if I can get them to let me experiment with what they are using.

Hello. this is an automated response from Brian buhrow. Due to the increasing volume of spam, it is necessary for me to verify that you really want to send me e-mail before I read your message. If you reply to this message, I will know that you really did intend to write to me, and your original message regarding Re: curious about Final draft, along with your reply to this verification request, will be forwarded to me immediately. In addition, I will make a note of your e-mail address, so that you will not have to respond to these automated verification requests ever again. I apologize for this extra step, but I believe this will allow me to treat your e-mail with the attention it deserves, rather than spending my time deleting useless messages which ask me to help distressed African nationals transfer billions of dollars around the globe.

Are you talking about the screen writing software? I used Final Draft Pro 7 like ten years ago and even back then it had some issues long before the cloud started to dominate everything. When I got my new computer in 2008 I didn't even bother transferring the license or updating the application.

Minimal, though the OS and version of Office software you have installed are pretty well meaningless at this stage. If you can grasp the basics of HTML, and there are more than a few tutorials about if you can't, then you've got it better than most. From install to daily use, WP's very accessible. The actual install process doesn't take more than maybe 5 minutes. It's entirely web-based, and surprisingly very well done. From: Andre Jarreau [mailto:andre.jarreau@...] Thanks James. Is the blog set up and useability also accessible?
How long would you think the learning curve would be for an average almost technical individual working with J17 on a Win64 & Off 2010 system?
From: James Homuth [mailto:james@...]
There's nothing wrong with WordPress so far as accessibility goes. I'd recommend perhaps avoiding the .com version and if possible going with the self-hosted version, but it's pretty accessible. I use it on my own site. From: HH. Smith Jr. [mailto:teos1@...] I’ll take a look.
