Re: Mp3 converter

Michael Boyd <mikeboyd61@...>

OK, we need to wrap this up, because this is not the right place to be discussing this particular subject. An avi file is a video file format, and a mp3 is an audio file format. itunes will not handle a video file. What you need to do is find yourself a video file converter software. There are lots of them out there. Prism Video File Converter is one of the best, and you can find it on the NCH Software web site (www.nchsoftware.com). They charge money for their products, but you can download a trial version for free. Give it a try. I don't use an iPhone, so I don't know what video file formats it will play, but you should be able to figure that one out. Then, if it doesn't work for you, you need to look elsewhere for a fix to your problem. One of the other guys responding to your posts suggested a good site. I didn't bother to remember it, but you can look back through your responses and find it. Good luck.

To get rid of the text if I no longer need what I have I tend to use
ctrl+a (for select all) then the backspace key to delete whatever is
selected.

Keep in mind that MP3 is a compressed format, so it cannot be converted to
one that isn't, such as .wav.

Frankly, this thread has lost me. But if anyone is looking for an
accessible
program that can convert files to different audio formats, one popular one
is GoldWave, which many people have without realizing this is one of its
features.

You are converting MP3 to another format. It is easy to do with JAWS. Get
a
converter and install, then try it.

The general idea is, first, you select the file that you want to convert, then you select the format that you want to convert the original file to, now tell it where to save it to, lastly, click on "convert". These are the very basic steps, each converter has it's own little differences, but this should give you a starting point.

John:

I do not wish to be disrespectful to you, when I ask the following question:

Why do you think software manufacturers include help systems, which include help files to help you learn how to use their software packages?

Sincerely:

Dave Durber
