Re: JFW 14 and the In Box

Hmm, most interesting indeed.
W7 64 bit, Office 2007, JAWS 14 6005.
Mine works properly for this specific example however, I am noticing some
other odd wad behavior from JAWS.
Sometimes JAWS reads extraneous dada when I start a new message and am
specifying who to send it to.
Oh well, can't have everything I suppose.

Sorry for not making that clear. In outlook, it becomes k d 4 e x k k. In
other words, the letter at the beginning of the group is repeated at the
end. Guess I should have used a better example. Anyway, this behavior is
confined to Outlook.

I'll tell you another thing about 14 and Outlook. When reading a mixed

both ends; same for any similar group. JAWS doesn't do this with any other

I don't know how to read those update messages either. I think they
are pop up balloons sighted users click on before they disappear. I
think you can force updates in the tools menu under internet options,
or just search for specific updates.

Re: Links

Brian Varner <bvarner05@...>

There is a command for generating a links list, insert-f7. in the
links list you can first letter navigate the list. in gmail for
example, when I open an email and want to reply, I hit insert-f7, then
r for reply. alternatively, you can arrow up and down the links list
for the link you want.

I can't navigate directly to the body of the email in gmail though.
The best I can do is use j and jump to a line number that corresponds
to the beginning of the body.

Re: Jaws 15 Beta and Eudora

You can cofnigure gmail to not keep messages just like any other email account.

I have had my gmail account since 2004 and have always used it with Eudora. Configuring whether or not gmail keeps messages on server after they are deleted in the local client is a one-time effort unless, of course, settings are changed.

Hi.
Thanks for your help. With your pointers, and someone else's hints. I was
able to assign a key to
BrailleSetUnlimitedPixelsPerSpace
This did the trick.
And yes, it does say "line up text on display" when I activate the key
stroke I assigned to the script.

Many thanks to everyone.

extra spaces are removed and the text is compressed. when i switch it

Here's some advice someone sent me when I got my new computer a few weeks
ago. Going from Outlook Express to Outlook 2010 is difficult but eventually
you'll get it.
1. Adding address to address book Here's a couple ways you can do
this.

The first way, is,

Press ctrl+shift+c
This will place you on a screen where you can add a contact, Use the tab key
to access the criteria, Once you've completed filling in the various fields,
Press escape key, and say yes to save.
The second way is,

1, open a message from the person whom you wish to add/reply to,

2, now shift+tab until you hear;
From: the person's name and email address; Move your left arrow to highlight
the name/email

3, press the applications key,
Up arrow and enter on,
Add to outlook contacts,

shrinking white space on a braille display

Philip Hall <p.hall.eml1@...>

I am using a focus 80 display with jaws 14 or jaws 15.

I have been searching in the settings center, and in quick settings for a
way to reduce the amount of white space being displayed.

Some of the lines I am viewing are quite long with a great deal of white
space between items.

Does anyone know of a setting that would remove most of the white space?

I looked at structured mode, and at the panning options. None of these look
as if they will do what I want.

Thanks

Phil

Re: Links

Hi,

you can also try u for the next unvisited, and v for the next visited link in an e-mail, use shift with the quick navigation letters to go back respectively.
