I downloaded the latest version of Jaws 14 directly from the Freedom Scientific web site, and then directly went to the help menu and the "check for updates" option.

I pressed enter on that, and followed the prompts. Ultimabely, this is when I got the message that a given update such as "What's new in Jaws 14" was not able to be downloaded. Tom Behler

I expect you are right. As long as FS knows I have paid for those SMA's that is what is important. It just surprised me that it doesn't correctly reflect the number, even after running the update. Ah, computers. Crystal

the updater or jaws updates. If your trying to get updates for jaws your best bet is to download and install the latest installer. If you install from the disc and try and update you'll probably run into problems because from what I've seen doing that, it doesn't want to work if the version is 2 or more newer then the first release. Hope this helps.

Hi, David,
If I missed the part about GMail, sorry about that. Here is an address with some information about setting up Eudora with GMail, both as pop3 and imap. Imap appears to keep messages on the server after they are deleted from your computer, which is supposed to be good but I don't like it. This looks to me like it should work. I don't have a GMail account, though, so can't test. Good luck! http://support.easystreet.com/email-services/easystreetnet/180-easystreetnet-eudora-setup

I paid $200 for 2 more sma's last December, but Jaws 14kept showing zero. I had this happen some years ago also. When the new version came out all was put right. This week I had computer problems and lost a key. I had to uninstall and reinstall. When I authorized the About box is now showing 2 as it should. My advise is to set tight and wait for the final version of Jaws 15. I'll bet all will be put right at that time. hth David Maynard Franklin NC dmaynard35@morrisbb.net

Amazon cloud player and music download
Jerry hathaway
I am running windows XP, Jaws 10, and MS Office 2007. I am needing help with Amazon cloud player and music download. My computer crashed recently and I have been trying to get it back up and running with everything that was lost. One of the programs I lost was Amazon music downloader. If anybody has this program on their system I would like to get it again. I have reinstalled cloud player onto my system. When I try to run the program it only brings up buttons that do not have any explaination to them. It does not seem to launch player for some reason. I would appriciate any help with these two issues.

Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2013 11:24 AM Subject: incorrect SMA count Hi All, I’m going to ask here about a problem I am having with Jaws 14. I have contacted FS tech support, but, thus far, none of the suggestions have worked. I have the most current version of Jaws 14, using Windows 7. I checked the About section in the Help menu, and it states that I have 0 SMA’s. This is incorrect, and should show a count of 2. I went to the update authorization and ran that. Twice I did it, and each time it said it was successfu. It sstill showed 0 SMA. The last suggestion from FS was to disable the firewall, and run the authorization process again. I did that, too. It still says 0 SMA. Now, each time I have done the authorization, I have had to manually enter the Jaws authorization code. If anyone has encountered this, and fixed it, I would appreciate knowing what you did. Thanks. Crystal -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The only time that ever happened to me (and it's been a while) HJ fixed it. I think the error may have been on their Website, though, not my machine.

Re: incorrect SMA count
Crystal French
Cy,
I think you are speaking of keys, the number of times you can install Jaws. I’m speaking of SMA’s, the actual upgrades you have paid for, which, in my case should be showing a count of 2 remaining. I have paid for Jaws 15 and 16, but the SMA count that appears on my computer is 0. I really do not know what FS’s policy is regarding skipping upgrades. I have just always kept my computer current. Hey guys,
Can someone please tell me the keystroke to read the URL of a text link? When sacred dreams are shattered, into fragments of a soul,, seek out the flying eagle, and on his wings be whole. When past mistakes endeavour, to break the heart in two,, seek then the mighty lion, and let him carry you., When hope is but a daydream, and nightmares claim the mind,, seek the devil whispering, and bid him get behind. When legal be the laws of men, and terror claims the heart,, seek the strength which dwells within, and n'er let it depart. When hungry grow the jaws of wrath,, fed by wrong demand,, seek then the cleansing touch of God, and shelter in his hand.
