I personally use Outlook 2013 on a laptop and just recently upgraded to Outlook 2016 on my desktop. I am also using Windows 10. Until just recently I was using Windows 8.1 with outlook 2013. Although some have expressed a dislike for it, I do have clients who use windows live mail with JAWS and seem to like it.

I'll see what I can do for this. Right now the scripting is moving along at an accelorated rate. UIA is cooperating nicely. You have a quick settings hortcut, viewing titles in a new way and being able to navigate to play portions with descriptions of the play element. Listing things out for you in chunks of helpful information. Trying to get a synopsis of the currently selected movie. Still working on the player. Sometimes it doesn't want to reveal the controls.

Using Windows 7, JAWS 16 and Firefox. Full disclosure: I’m
a sited
user with screenreader experience. (I prefer Firefox since I get
the
best experience with a screenreader)



It seems that Netflix isn’t providing “focus" on content
once
selected. For instance, I can navigate the site using a
screenreader
by headers and/or links, (I bring up the links list and look for
“Audio Descriptions” and press enter, then I bring up the links
list
again and navigate the list of movies that are now
available) but once I find a movie I would like to watch, I press
enter, but can’t access the new menu that drops down to play the
content, it just keeps navigating to the next movie. The work
around
is to immediately bring up the headers, navigate to the header
that’s listed and press enter, which then allows me to access the
content within the dropdown (press tab once to access the play
link).


TV shows are difficult to navigate as they all state “Play
link”
(instead of “play episode 8”) and do not announce the episode
without using the arrow keys (press down a couple of times to hear
more about the episode). For TV seasons there is a dropdown button
to change seasons using the mouse, but I can’t locate the button
with a screenreader without using the virtual cursor, and I can’t
access the dropdown menu with a keyboard at all. You can access
other episodes using the “see previous titles Button” and “see more
titles Button”
(bring up the form fields list to easily find these), but this is
only for the season displayed.

Can you please clarify the accessibility issue we need

with Netflix? On my Toshiba laptop, using Windows 8 and JAWS 14, I
can get onto Netflix, manage to utilize the Search field, find the
movie, documentary or television program I desire and get it to
play. This is without Audio Description. And I am not able to
select
a specific season and episode of a television program, such as Star
Trek Next Generation. I am simply stuck with playing whichever
season and episode is next up in my account.



I am going to email Netflix as requested in your email
here. I
just want to be clear about what our hurdles are as blind persons
using Netflix. I will also add that I am a Rhapsody Music
subscriber
and the problems with Rhapsody are worse than Netflix, if anyone is
interested.

I am blind, and use a Windows 7 laptop. Up until a
week or so
ago, your web site was extremely hard to navigate, but at least I
could start a video. Now, after your web page design changes
implemented a few days ago, I cannot even start a video.



I am using the latest update of JAWS version 16; JAWS
is the
world’s most widely used screen reading software for the blind.
I tried accessing your service with IE, Firefox, and Chrome, but
could not get a video to start. With IE, I cannot even activate my
profile.


I am a fairly experienced Internet user, and if there
is a way to
navigate your site with a screen reader, I have not figured it out.
I am using the recommended common settings for JAWS, and I have no
problems with some other video streaming services.



Back a few weeks ago, Netflix announced the addition
of audio
description. That is a great move, and I applaud you for that.
However, in a very ironic twist, it is not possible for a blind
person to select the audio described version, even though one is on
the part of your site that contains only audio described programs.
Why add that extra step? If one is on the audio description page,
the user obviously wants the audio described version, so why not
make that the default?



In general, there seems to be a huge gap between your
marketing
department and the technology group. Netflix marketing is
advertising this new and wonderful audio description service, but a
blind person simply cannot navigate the site, especially after the
rollout of your new web page design.



In closing, I am using a Windows laptop, and I do not
have a
smart phone. The issues I am asking you to please fix are just for
us old-fashioned blind folks using a Windows computer.



I know from experience that screen reader
accessibility is a very
narrow specialty and skill set, so if you do not have such an
expert
on staff, you could either hire one or contract with one of the
accessibility consultant experts that will help you become and stay
accessible.



I am happy to volunteer by helping you test any
changes; I have
done that in the past for a number of web service companies.

There are two ways to move within sheets in a workbook. You can move to adjacent sheets with control+page up or down. To jump to one press control+Space+S to bring up the sheet list, where you can navigate normally to the sheet and go there by pressing enter.

Thanks, that seems to get me through the steps, but when I want to apply the rule on mails in my Inbox,  nothing happens?  The mails are not being moved to the Jaws folder.

I kept my previous folder to which the mails with the previous address went.

Could that be a problem?

It seems that Netflix isn’t providing “focus" on content
once
selected. For instance, I can navigate the site using a
screenreader
by headers and/or links, (I bring up the links list and look for
“Audio Descriptions” and press enter, then I bring up the links

again and navigate the list of movies that are now
available) but once I find a movie I would like to watch, I press
enter, but can’t access the new menu that drops down to play the
content, it just keeps navigating to the next movie. The work
around
is to immediately bring up the headers, navigate to the header
that’s listed and press enter, which then allows me to access the
content within the dropdown (press tab once to access the play
link).



TV shows are difficult to navigate as they all state “Play
link”
(instead of “play episode 8”) and do not announce the episode

more about the episode). For TV seasons there is a dropdown button
to change seasons using the mouse, but I can’t locate the button
with a screenreader without using the virtual cursor, and I can’t
access the dropdown menu with a keyboard at all. You can access
other episodes using the “see previous titles Button” and “see more
titles Button”
(bring up the form fields list to easily find these), but this is
only for the season displayed.

Back a few weeks ago, Netflix announced the addition
of audio
description. That is a great move, and I applaud you for that.
However, in a very ironic twist, it is not possible for a blind
person to select the audio described version, even though one is on
the part of your site that contains only audio described programs.
Why add that extra step? If one is on the audio description page,
the user obviously wants the audio described version, so why not
make that the default?



In general, there seems to be a huge gap between your
marketing
department and the technology group. Netflix marketing is
advertising this new and wonderful audio description service, but a
blind person simply cannot navigate the site, especially after the
rollout of your new web page design.



In closing, I am using a Windows laptop, and I do not
have a
smart phone. The issues I am asking you to please fix are just for
us old-fashioned blind folks using a Windows computer.



I know from experience that screen reader
accessibility is a very
narrow specialty and skill set, so if you do not have such an
expert
on staff, you could either hire one or contract with one of the
accessibility consultant experts that will help you become and stay
accessible.



I am happy to volunteer by helping you test any
changes; I have

There are two ways to move within sheets in a workbook. You can move to adjacent sheets with control+page up or down. To jump to one press control+Space+S to bring up the sheet list, where you can navigate normally to the sheet and go there by pressing enter.

Startup Wizard....& press enter.
4. Go through the Startup Wizard making your choices & following the
prompts.

Answer #2:
If you want your punctuation set for, None, in all applications try the
following:
1. Open the Settings Center in either of these 2 ways.
A. Press, Insert / Jaws Key + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard.
B. Press, Insert / Jaws Key + F2, to open the, Jaws Manager, arrow down, to
Settings Center, & press enter.
With the Settings Center open press, control, shift , + D, to open the
Settings Center Default All Applications.
2. Arrow down to, Punctuation, right arrow to open.
3. Arrow down to, Punctuation Level, press the spacebar until you hear Jaws
report, None.
4. Tab to the, Apply button, press the spacebar, tab to the, Okay button, &
press enter to save & close.

And the bonus answer #3 is:
While in any application press, Insert _+ V, to open Jaws quick settings,
arrow down to Punctuation, press the spacebar until you hear the level of
punctuation you want, tab to the Okay button & press enter to save / close

It's not currently possible to stream 2 different audio feeds into one streaming video feed. The only way to get 2 different audio sources is to use 2 devices (TV/laptop + iPhone/Android), which may cause Out of Sync audio issues since it's difficult to start 2 streams at exactly the same time. (It will be one long Row Row Row your boat song...off by a few seconds)

I don't mind the audio descriptions as it helps me watch shows as I multi-task on something else. I'm a little like that dog Doug in the movie Up...I'm constantly having distracting squirrel moments.

Yes, I have the drop down already in programming. Locking down the
volume will take sighted assistance. But I got full screen working in
case you are entertaining.
There are other controls to this thing such as the play pause button
that I need sighted assistance for too. It is coming along nicely.
One thing I am experimenting with is the ability to view all the
playable movies in a single list such as the virtual viewer or
probably the results viewer more liekly since it supports more than
links. There is a ton of stuff you can do with this thing. Few years
back and some programming knowledge learned, it wasn't possible. Now
it is within our reach finally. The language selector is a group box
that is readily viewable and also subtitles can be controlled too.

so far it is going well. naturally I went for the video interface
and controlling it. I can rewind and fast forward with a spoken time code.
Next comes the volume. Other special features will help you navigate
the site and allow you to move seamlessly through the site. Things
like what is viewable right now and the seasons lined up in an easy format.
The code is all UIA which means 15 and up, however to take advantage
of all the perks I have designed this with jaws 17 in mind, though
it is possible to rename things for IE using jaws 15 and up. Nice
being able to move about the movie seamlessly. Couldn't do that before.
