I've heard some talk about 15's being tablet-oriented. Guess we'll see.

Yes, drag and drop have always been a drag and so I've dropped any hope of ever using it.

I've been trying to work with the drag and drop feature in windows 8. When I
try to relocate a tile to a different location, I get a message that says
the object is not visible and therefore the drag and drop was canceled.

How can I be sure that both windows ar3e visible to allow the object to be
relocated? I have tried to use this feature in the past and got the same
results so I'm sure its user error.

problem with menu bar

William Sallander <wsallander@...>

I've started noticing lately that when I try using either word 2013 or
outlook 2013, Jaws keeps announcing "menu bar" and won't focus on the main
document or message window. I then have to restart the program to try and
get something done.

Is there a setting in either outlook or word that I need to change or is it
a setting in jaws.

This is on a Windows 8 machine.

Re: Help with JAWS 14 , web site tracking trouble & proper settings

Hazel Darvell <witch.hazel66@...>

Dave I am useing Jaws 13 which has always been a nightmare with trying to keep cursor focus.
When grocery shopping down any vertical items if you have to leave the page to add anything to basket on returning back to the original page you could be anywhere but where you left it.
My only way and frustrating at that is to go to top of page and header back to where you left off.
I hope Freedom Scientific get their act together for future versions of Jaws as this really puts me off paying out anymore money if simple things like stable focus on cursor can't be fixed.

And if those things do not work you can try the convenient OCR feature
(jaws + space followed by o followed by either w or s -- for window or
screen). Generally I would suggest trying the window first and only
doing the screen if you still don't get any text.
