Here is a plug-in that may help. It is called TimeRestore.
1. First download the archive from
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5176021/TimeRestoreForWinamp.zip
2. Close winamp if it is opened.
3. Extract the contents to
C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins.
4. Start winamp and open the preferences window.
5. Find there Autoplay Options in the tree. You may use the letter "a".
6. Tab to see and change the different options to your like.

Try using the f6 key to move around. Works better at times than does the Tab

Go to the view menu and turn on the side bar. Then the sync will be back as
before. If you choose not to do that, use NVDA, there is an iPhone button
that Jaws doesn't read, but NVDA does. That's the button you need to click
if you don't turn on the side bar. I forget where that button is, but I
believe it was when tabbing through from the music choice. Just turn on the
side bar and it will pretty much be as previous versions were. You can then
arrow down to your device.

Hi,

Strictly opinion of course, what methods are people using to sink content
from their computer over to their iPhone, let's say music?

This new iTunes was a pain at first to navigate but I managed to find
everything that I was looking for, accept sinking from my comp to the phone.
Thoughts?

Donating a Freedom Scientific product like JAWS or Open Book is not as
simple as just giving someone the CD or DVD. I know because I bought Open
Book from someone who no longer used it.

She notified FS that she wanted to sell Open Book, and I notified them that
I wanted to buy it from her. Since it was an old version, I had to pay for
an upgrade. FS won't transfer the license of an old version; it must be the
current version. In addition to paying an upgrade charge, I had to pay a
transfer fee. This is the only way a license transfer can be legally done.

Are you really, really sure you want to donate an old version of JAWS?
Also, keep in mind that if you do transfer your license, you can't legally
use JAWS, since you no longer have a license for it.

Dave and dondi,

I'd be very surprised if FS allows assignment of a license. I haven't
double-checked the terms of my JAWS license, but FS has been pretty
aggressive in protecting their revenue sources, as everyone knows.

Dondi, I think Dave makes a good suggestion. I would add that you follow up
your question, assuming they say no, with one about how you can assist
someone who needs financial assistance to obtain JAWS. (I'm putting this
clumsily because I'm rushing. Sorry.) My point is that maybe FS can find a
way to accommodate your desire to do the right thing with their desire to
protect their interests.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to donate an old version of JAWS to a needy person, does anyone
have a person or organization that I could contact? It is a full blown
version and is not a upgrade.

No, how do you do that? How do I get a document to open up in that instead
of acrobat reader then?

Hi,

I went to the raymor and Flanagan furniture web site and pressed enter on
the apply for credit link. Acrobat reader opens after I press on open and
there is suppose to be an "accept" and "decline button", but Jaws won't read
it. Is there a way I can get Jaws to read buttons or a whole page?

Claudia,

There is likely a key on that keyboard called the Fn key. It is
often on the left side adjacent to the control key. If you press it
along with the Alt key and then F4 the exit command will work. The
function keys have, on many new laptops, been assigned to other
functions, like play and volume controls, etc. this means that if
you want toe use the common commands on the row of function keys you
have to have that Fn key pressed along with Ctrl or Alt or Jaws key.

Has anyone here ever found a way, using the Bios to change this on
laptops that behave this way? It is quite inconvenient.

Negoslav Sabev

Here is a plug-in that may help. It is called TimeRestore.
1. First download the archive from
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5176021/TimeRestoreForWinamp.zip
2. Close winamp if it is opened.
3. Extract the contents to
C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins.
4. Start winamp and open the preferences window.
5. Find there Autoplay Options in the tree. You may use the letter "a".
6. Tab to see and change the different options to your like.

Joe,

No context menu choice for iTunes. You need to launch the application.

Copying all your files to the iTunes library does not make a copy, it only
tells iTunes where to look for the files.
