Oh, duh. That's funny. Even though I saw the spelling, I went with JAWS pronunciation of winky rather than thinking of it as win key.

Thanks so much,

Winkey is the Windows key which is often next to the Applications or Context key on the righthand side of desktop keyboards, or is next to the Control key on the lefthand side of desktop keyboards.

Thank you.

I've installed Jaws 14 on 2 diferent computers running Win7 64 bit I've

It does not work. Has anyone notice this problem?

Robert,
You can get your sneak preview by going to the Topics section of JAWS Help and to the Popular Applications with JAWS Book. In that book you will find a Microsoft Applications book. Open it up and check out the Outlook Topic for commands and useful tips.

bob,

When you're in Outlook, Press JAWS+H and you'll find a starting point
for
quite a lot of keystroke information. Then use the JAWS+F1 Twice quickly
to
bring up the applications-specific help for JAWS, and select Outlook.

that seems to be corrected now.

Hi,
I am posting an answer to ease of use ofOutlook 2010.
I wonder if F S is aware of these Outlook 10 issues with V 14 as I
felt
pressure from F S to move to JAWS 14 when I had just learned Outlook
2010.

I realize F S does not wish to support earlier versions, but a lot of
people
have bought computers prior to Windows 8 And wish to use Outlook as
well as
reasonably possible.

Thinking about it a little more, I think F S should for what we pay
them, should support the current and at least 1 previous version.

Here is what some one wrote about JAWS 14and Outlook 10, ""It works
pretty
well with 13, unfortunately the release version of 14 has a few issues,
but
you should be ok with 13. If you have any specific questions you'd like
answers to I'm very happy to try and answer. Cheers

Re: Is F S aware of Outlook issues with JAWS 14?

Dave...

Frances,

Thank you! The "tastefully" is sort of a poke at those unintelligible
messages we sometimes get where spell-checking, capitalization and
punctuation are an alien concept to the senders. I dislike their apparent
(and I use the word apparent, because I really don't know) disregard in
bothering to try and communicate at higher than a second-grade level. Ah,
well. but my efforts often just get those submitters upset with me.

I use to change the signature block a lot when I was bored, but it's been
sitting pretty much the same for a while. Got to go and vote now for
increased access to higher education. Later.

Listers: one bit of added info: In Add/Remove programs I did find freedom
scientific 14 talking installer listed. Nothing else regarding v.14 was
listed.

Listers: I tried to install v.14 from the disk. I ran setup, got the
configuring computer for jaws sounds, then order to restart your computer.
After restart, Jaws 13 was running, and I could find no evidence of jaws 14
on my computer. I admit that in Windows 7 I am never sure where to find
things.

Any ideas what happened? What should I do next?

It presumes to do OCR on a screen that you're on. Go to the site and you'll
find information about it. It came out with JAWS 13.

it takes a screen capture and performs OCR on it. You can read all about it
in Jaws Help.

OK thanks Dave, I'll keep this note handy, but, I'm not in Outlook yet
and wanted to get a sneak preview if I could.

bob,

When you're in Outlook, Press JAWS+H and you'll find a starting point
for
quite a lot of keystroke information. Then use the JAWS+F1 Twice quickly
to
bring up the applications-specific help for JAWS, and select Outlook.

It's certainly happening to me, Outlook 2010 hangs and crashes fairly
frequently. I didn't have the problem until I installed the final
release
version.

What issues, I didn't see any listed. Outlook 10 works better for me in
14
than 13. The 13 issue I had was reading of html tables in a message and
that seems to be corrected now.

well, in addition to that, some who use JAWS have some or a lot of
vision
too. There is a huge difference.

I have no issues with jaws 14 and outlook2010 . It is very apparent
from
being part of this community that we all have differing experiences even
though our configurations may appear to be the same.

Hi,
I am posting an answer to ease of use ofOutlook 2010.

Cheers
