There's another cute trick some of you may have noticed. Some messages
from this list may wind up in Quarantine. Again, there seems to be no
rhyme or reason for which get trapped, and which do not.

The reason why some of us are not going to junk, is because you've
replied to us, and our addresses have been added to your contacts list

I can't help you beyond that.

Re: why it's going to junk folder?

I found this at
http://email.about.com/cs/hotmailtips/qt/et032903.htm
Mail that does not have your Windows Live Hotmail address in its To: field raises a red flag with Windows Live Hotmail's spam filters. This is true, of course, for a lot of spam. But it may also be the case with some mailing lists you have signed up for. To avoid having these messages removed from your Inbox as spam automatically by Windows Live Hotmail, you can put them on a safe list.
Make Sure Windows Live Hotmail Doesn't Ban Mailing Lists as Spam
To make sure Windows Live Hotmail does not ban mailing list messages as spam:

a.. Select Options | More options... in Windows Live Hotmail.
b.. Click Safe and blocked senders under Junk e-mail.
c.. Follow the Safe mailing lists link.
d.. Enter the email address that shows up in the To: field of messages that come from a particular mailing list under To address for the mailing list:.
e.. Click Add to list >>.

Re: how friendly please is jaws with the Sykes Enterprises call centre home based web based software?

Chris Smart <csmart8@...>

They didn't let you check out their software to see if it is accessible, BEFORE, hiring you?
That seems odd.
Did you mention your blindness or screen readers to them during the interview?

At 08:51 AM 10/5/2012, you wrote:

Hello,

I am wondering please, if anyone on the list maybe works from home for the Sykes Enterprises Inc. call centre as a home based customer service agent because I am wondering how good Jaws works with the web pages or web based software that Sykes Enterprises has the home based customer service agents use to take care daily of incoming customer service inquiries?

I ask this about how friendly is jaws with the sykes enterprises call centre home based web based software because as of yesterday, I have been hired by sykes enterprises to work as a home based customer service agent. Any help I can get on this matter would be very much appreciated. Much thanks in advance.

Yes, possibly also the .jsm and .jsh files, not sure about those two.
But most definitely excluding the .jsb file

be used with earlier versions. However .jsb files from earlier

And none of his prevents you from copying the script source files and
re-compiling them with the earlier version.

Flexible Web in JAWS 14 is a Hit!

Dave...

Just after sending out my petition to FS to stop adding features and focus on fixing bugs, they roll out this feature in the Beta 2 cycle.

Skeptical as I am, I listened to the Podcast and then intrigued, I gave it a spin with a site I use in my J-O-B every day: Sales Force dot com

What a time saver! Now I can get rid of so much clutter that I needed to tab or search through on every visit to the site to enter sales data. Cuts down my tabbing by more than 50% and speeds up searching by headers and tables. My left pinky finger will last longer and perhaps not develop arthritis quite as soon now.

All kidding aside, this is a truly beneficial tool to use for anyone who uses certain web sites repeatedly, and similar web sites occasionally. I'd say it's the best breakthrough since they made MS Excel accessible -- it's that astounding.

So if you haven't tried it and you have the Beta 2 cycle loaded, don't waste any more time without trying it out.

Damry and company, you've made my next SMA worth the money.

I did it because I never make own configs to Internet explorer. After that, flexible web is working very nice.

Ofcourse the first thing to try is the new Flexible web
My machine is a 64 bit windows 7 ultimate running internet explorer 9 and
Mozilla firefox.
So, In FF flexible web works greatly well. The dificulties apeare when I try
to do the same in IE. After pressing the Insert plus space bar plus x, Jaws
speaks the following message:
Flexible Web is not Abailable for this application.

Anyone can duplicate this issue?

Re: using jaws and talking to a person through the same headset

dave grossoehme

Good Day: The question here would be if they are using a hard phone which
is a standard telephone, or a softphone which is software that works as a
telephone. A lot of companies are using Avaya, if this company that you
wish to work for has Avaya there are scripts that have been written for
Jaws. The other question you might wish to find out is what the name of the
software that they are using for a softphone, considering a lot of your call
centers are using a softphone of some kind. Good luck.

Hello,

I am wondering please what is the cheapest, simplest way to setup a
headset with a built in mike that will enable me for sure, to hear a
customer properly in say only the left ear wile talking to them through
the mike and with that same headset also hear properly and loud enough
Jaws in only the right ear, so I can handle properly and quickly inbound
customer service inquiries using a laptop computer and the internet? Is
there maybe a small external box I can buy that I would plug into my
computer and then plug the headset into this small external box that will
enable me to hear a customer in only the left ear and also hear jaws only
in the right ear of that same headset?
Any help with this would be so very much appreciated. Much thanks in
advance.

Re: how friendly please is jaws with the Sykes Enterprises call centrehome based web based software?

William Sallander <wsallander@...>

I'm wondering if they might be able to have you look at the software first before an actual commit to the position.
My past experience with a home based CSR company was that when I actually went to the website with them on the phone, it was full of graphics and therefore not screen reader friendly.
They of course said they were working on that but so far I had heard nothing; this was about 4 years ago.
So my best advice is to check out the software first if that is at all possible.
The best of luck to you.

Re: using jaws and talking to a person through the same headset

Dave...

Not cheap, but you need a headset that's not off-the-rack. You need two
completely separate monaural signals and one microphone return.

Plantronics makes a couple specially designed for that purpose, one
connecting via USB+headset, the other connecting via telephone+headset.

Subject: using jaws and talking to a person through the same headset

Hello,

I am wondering please what is the cheapest, simplest way to setup a headset
with a built in mike that will enable me for sure, to hear a customer
properly in say only the left ear wile talking to them through the mike and
with that same headset also hear properly and loud enough Jaws in only the
right ear, so I can handle properly and quickly inbound customer service
inquiries using a laptop computer and the internet? Is there maybe a small
external box I can buy that I would plug into my computer and then plug the
headset into this small external box that will enable me to hear a customer
in only the left ear and also hear jaws only in the right ear of that same
headset?
Any help with this would be so very much appreciated. Much thanks in
advance.

Kindest regards,

Hank

Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)

Plantronics offers just the device you're looking for. A local office
supplier should be able to help here. I found the t uncomfortable to
use, but it's available.

Deb and the girls

You have to have a special dual headset. You hear the computer in one ear and the caller in the other.
I have worked for Citibank for 31 years now and that is how it is best done.
