To save an attachment with faws13 and wlm I shift-tab from the body to
have the attachment highlighted, then use the right click key (the
numpad *) bring up the context menu and on that menu is "save as" and
"save all"

I think there may be an issue with opening attachments with this beta
release.

I'm using outlook 2007 on a windows xp machine (this is in my office).
I installed the jaws 14 beta this morning and when I attempted to open
an email attachment I could not do it. Once I switched back to jaws 12
everything worked fine.

Anyone have the address for reporting bugs?

Thanks,
Kimber

Re: Google Chrome and jaws 14 beta

Dave...

Adrian,

Of course, but I didn't want someone to sit and wait for a consensus before
reporting anything to FS. They need to know quickly, and often. Beta cycles
happen fast, and we don't have much time before the "hard" release.

GW Skype works much better with speech. Much simpler lay-out. If you choose to use regular Skype, scripts are available, that make it work better with JFW.

I would use Skype to make the call, and Audacity to record it. Version 3.2 of Skype is accessible with Jaws. Later versions may be, but my friends and I haven't had much luck with them. In order to call a phone number with Skype you have to pay a small fee, something like one cent per minute. Audacity is free and fairly Jaws friendly.

recording phone conversations on computer

don wardlow <wardlows97@...>

Hi all
Anybody know how to record phone conversations onto a computer.
What hardware or software would I need to get, and how much would it cost?
I want my aunt to tell me her memories about my family before she dies, and
she lives 800 miles away.
The phone is the answer.

Don

Good Morning: With Outlook 10 I can read the subject, date and persons name
with out refreshing. However, if you wish to read the message itself then
you have to refresh the screen each time. I had over 400 messages to read
this morning, after about 200 of these messages I was receiving a blank
screen and was forced to restart in order to correct this error.

I don't believe Chrome is built on the Mozilla platform, but I also don't

I've been needing to refresh the screen more frequently when pages update

I'm using outlook 2007 on a windows xp machine (this is in my office).
I installed the jaws 14 beta this morning and when I attempted to open

everything worked fine.

Anyone have the address for reporting bugs?

TC Conferencing plugin and FS webinar

William Sallander <wsallander@...>

I realize this might be off topic, but I'm having issues with the TC Conferencing plugin that I need to use for tomorrow's Jaws 14 webinar.
I've downloaded and installed the plugin and have tried running the echo test with the suggested utility, but I'm not getting any echo back of my test.
I have pressed the alt+r to start recording and then hit the alt+s to stop.
It is my understanding that I should get a playback of what I said, but no response.
I have checked my mic settings and all seems okay.
What might I be doing wrong? What other options do I need to look at?

Re: attachment

Dave...

Robin,

Don't wait for feedback -- this is not a popularity contest, it's a
bug-reporting process. If your machine and operating system have a problem
with JAWS 14, report it immediately to FS so they can attempt to mimic your
setup and verify.

Thanks for the question, though.

Hi,
speaking of attachments is anyone experiencing an issue whereby Jfw beta
version isn’t announcing that an attachment is present with a message in
windows live mail current version under windows 7? I figured I’d ask to see
if the affliction has befallen anyone else before reporting it officially as
a bug.
Thanks for your help.

Robin, i am using windows live mail in windows 7. You can solve this issue if you teach the graphic labeler.
The attachments has a different graphic and in this way you have a solution for this issue.
Hope that this helps

Re: attachment

Kimber Gardner

I think there may be an issue with opening attachments with this beta release.

I'm using outlook 2007 on a windows xp machine (this is in my office).
I installed the jaws 14 beta this morning and when I attempted to open
an email attachment I could not do it. Once I switched back to jaws 12
everything worked fine.

Anyone have the address for reporting bugs?

Thanks,
Kimber

Re: Google Chrome and jaws 14 beta

Rose Combs <rosecombs@...>

I wish Outlook 2010 were fine. I had over 400 messages in one folder
yesterday and loaded 13 to read them after about 10 messages that were
either not read, that had previous messages in them or skipped the first
line or two, window maximized, only real changes I made was to have messages
read when open, to turn off link count and the info warning that tells me
blank lines have been removed all the time. However, I tried reading
messages with the original settings and it was no better.

As far as I can tell, Chrome is the only browser that I need to keep
refreshing the screen on.
I'm messing with FireFox now and so far that seems to be fine.
I don't have Outlook 2010 so unfortunately I can't answer to that, but with
Outlook 2007, it all seems fine.

Good Afternoon: Is that the only program that you have to refresh the
Jaws
screen with? I've noticed that I have to refresh my Jaws screen with
every
message with Outlook 10 when I'm reading the inbox.

I don't believe Chrome is built on the Mozilla platform, but I also don't
pay much attention to Chrome as the few times I've fought with it, I ended
up just removing it and using something else. I've noticed, though, that
I've been needing to refresh the screen more frequently when pages update
while using either Firefox or IE on a 32-bit XP system running JAWS 13, so
I'm not entirely sure what the issue is.

Has anyone out there tried using Google Chrome with the Jaws 14 beta?
I've noticed that when going from one web page to another, I seem to need
to
refresh the Screen to read the current page.
I also believe this might be happening with Firefox since it is my
understanding that both Chrome and Firefox are built on the Mozilla
platform.
I'm using the 64 bit edition of the beta on a vista machine.
