hmmm,

I'm no expert on facebook, you might want to try asking on our blind access help list:

blindaccesshelp-subscribe@...

we have a number of folks who use and are quite familiar with facebook there

I have been collecting info on the use of it but haven't run into this one before

in general, those usually are buttons, or links

have you tried hitting the space bar on it

the only other thing I can think of is the newer systems and for that you would hit control + insert +enter all at the same time

let me know what you find out, and if no one else has a better suggestion you can ask on my/our list or I can for you if you really wish me to.

Re: duplicate photos

Dave Scrimenti <dscrimenti@...>

I just tried it with a music folder and found it kind of useless. When I searched for exact copies, it found nothing. When I searched for similar, it found all the duplicates. And I know they were duplicates because it actually plays the files for you as you arrow through them. However, there were a few big problems. I couldn't tell which files were checked. It didn't give the full file path. But the worst thing is that it wouldn't let me delete the duplicates. Apparently, if you search for similar rather than identical files, you can't delete them unless you pay $40 for the pro version.

Hi, I find that this often happens with jaws. Generally I use the jawsKey + alt + shift and the up or down arrows to move the jaws cursor from where it might be stuck and move it to another part of the screen. Then I find the "route to pc cursor" then will work.

JAWS and online Content Management Software

L Fairman <lfairman@...>

Hi list,

I'm thinking of setting up a web presence for a group I belong to, and
potentially serving as an administrator.
When I looked into this several years ago, a technically savvy friend told
me I'd need an online Content Management System. However, at that time we
didn't find one that worked comfortably with JAWS, and with my user-level
web skills.

Now I'm looking again.

Our group would need an online database from which we'd want to print a
member directory, lists of who serves on what committee, etc.

We would want to send out email to sub-groups of folks in the database, in
order to distribute the newsletter, or publish announcements.

We would also want to have an online newsletter archive, and current pages
of information showing upcoming events, background information, and so on.

Given these needs, is there an online Content Management System, or other
suitable software, that works well with JAWS and does not require too much
inside techie knowledge of internet servers?

I use the latest JAWS, currently running with Vista, with a Windows update
probably in my near future.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

LuRetta

Is this software accessible?BootItT Bare Metal fromTeraByte , the makers of the accessible image for Windows. They have a bundled price that represents quite a savings. I was going to buy image for Windows anyway and wondered if this partition manager would be useful and accessible with jaws.

Thanks.

Hi Doug,

1. With Openbook open, press Alt + G, for General Settings.

2. Press the letter P, for speech settings, or after pressing Alt + G, arrow
down to speech settings & press enter.
3. Tab to the appropriate comboboxes, make your changes, tab to apply, press
the spacebar, tab to okay & press the spacebar.
4. Press Alt + G again, press the letter S, for Save your changes, tab to
save , press the spacebar, & say yes to the dialog that comes up.

Below is a link to join an Openbook list.

Hope this helps. Take care.

More alternatives for the same information:
1. Probably any Australian business news site.
2. Presumably, the major stock exchange in your country has a Website.
3. If you have money invested, can you check your investments out online on the same site you trade through?
4. Is it possible to develop your own module for Research It? Other users in your part of the world would benefit.

again so we all are certain what you are needing help with.

Current version of JAWS is 12.0.1169. My version is still 12.0.525.

Subject: [Bulk] IE 8 and newest Jaws upgrades

Morning all, After installing the newest bill of Jaws (0169), and
even with the (161) versions of Jaws, IE8 , IE8 wants to crash many
times. Meaning, it says that IE has encountered a problem and this
session has encountered a problem and will shut down.
Is IE9 any better at keeping focus, or what other Browsers might a
person use?. Does this happen to anyone using IE9???
Thanks,
Morey
