IE 8 and newest Jaws upgrades
Morey Worthington
Morning all, After installing the newest bill of Jaws (0169), and even with the (161) versions of Jaws, IE8 , IE8 wants to crash many times. Meaning, it says that IE has encountered a problem and this session has encountered a problem and will shut down.
Is IE9 any better at keeping focus, or what other Browsers might a person use?. Does this happen to anyone using IE9??? Thanks, Morey

Re: Jaws Cursor And Internet Explorer 9 and Windows 7
Bissett, Tom <tom.bissett@...>
Hi, I find that this often happens with jaws. Generally I use the jawsKey + alt + shift and the up or down arrows to move the jaws cursor from where it might be stuck and move it to another part of the screen. Then I find the "route to pc cursor" then will work.

No. However you can use different file compare programs to see if the file

Re: Web browsers
Dave Scrimenti <dscrimenti@...>
I haven't done it, but it should. It imports: internet options, history, cookies, and favorites. By the way, you don't have to do this during the install. You can import any time from the file menu in Firefox. One thing I have found extremely useful is a Firefox extension called "plain old favorites". Just google it, and install it. It puts your internet Explorer favorites on your Firefox menu bar. Now you don't ever have to worry about synchronizing your IE favorites and Firefox bookmarks. Everything's in the favorites, and their available to you in IE, Firefox, and really, anywhere in Windows. I also like favorites more than bookmarks because favorites is a folder that you can access in Windows Explorer. Firefox saves bookmarks as a single file, so it's not accessible with Explorer.

I found, downloaded and installed FireFox Version 4. During the installation of FireFox, there is a prompt about importing settings from Internet Explorer or, do not import anything. Is it a good idea to install the settings from internet Explorer into FireFox? By importing these settings does it change the look and feel of FireFox, to make FireFox, look and feel like internet Explorer? Any help and advice are most welcome. Sincerely: Dave Durber

While the balloon is still up on the screen; you should be able to use the JAWS left mouse command (key pad slash) to activate it. Note that these balloons do not stay up very long. In some cases; the program which put up the balloon will leave an entry in the system tray after the balloon goes away. Use JAWS key + f11 to get to the system tray.

Does anyone know how to play a sample of a song in the iTunes Store before purchasing? When I had vision, this was as simple as clicking the song title in a grid of song title matches. However, now when I search the iTunes store, it populates the screen with so many links and albums that it's impossible to find the song in question, let alone play a sample. Example: Go to iTunes Store, F6 to the search field, enter "Amy Winehouse Back to Black" and hit Enter. Now what? Tab into perpetuity? Jaws cursor? How to move beyond all the albums, TV shows, and other irrelevant junk to find the simple song? I'm using the latest iTunes on Windows, version 10.4.0.8.0. Sugar <sugarsyl71@...>
Hi Doug, yes, it is in your tool menu in Open book.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
go to settings and then to general, the there you will find rate, pitch, etc... once you have checked or completed your keys, you need to go to the save menu and save them. I had to learn by playing around, sorry if this doesn't help, but i don't know the strokes by memory. I do know that is in the tool menu in open book, and under "settings" sugar 'Real tears are not those that fall from your eyes and cover your face, but that fall from your heart and cover your soul.' ~Be Blessed, Sugar
