Here is what I read on another list and it works.

Hi, Just the domain expired, the webvisum server still works. Not sure for how long though. To make webvisum work again, follow these steps: 1. open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc; 2. using notepad, open the file "hosts" with no extension; 3. add the following line to the end of the file: 204.14.19.231 api.webvisum.com Negoslav

or, start a campaign to lobby the assistive technology companies to come up with a solution. Or, lobby for changes in website best practices and adoption of the capcha alternative suggested in another post on this list today, where some inteligence is required to solve the capcha. Raymond, Google is your friend.
Freedom Scientific did not invent ARIA that I know of. Do some reading here - all the info you could want, and then some: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/aria.php At 08:12 AM 6/21/2012, you wrote: It's a new thing that freedom scientific has done called aria.-------------------------------------------------- CTS MASTERING: http://www.ctsmastering.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/CTSMASTERING Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/CTS-Mastering/139114066128698 Linked In: http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/chris-smart/46/824/536 Dropbox: Have your stuff when you need it. 2GB is free: http://db.tt/bQ2GuIt

I've never heard of CaptchaMonster before but am interested to try
this out. After I take the time to test, I will pass my findings onto the list. I have done a brief search of the Web for anything else I can find about blind users locating alternative techniques to Solona and Webvisum. Aside from the possibility you have raised, Gerald, it looks as if everyone is in the same boat without an obvious solution aside from the sighted reader. As an example, check out this reference to a thread I found on the Klango network: https://klango.net/en/forum/thread/tid/616783/page/1.

Raymond, when did you last solve a capcha with it or go to the Webvisum website itself?

Alternative to Webvisum
Gerald Levy
Now that Webvisum is gone,I'm looking for a captcha solving alternative. Someone on another list suggested Captcha Monster, a paid Firefox add-on that purports to automatically solve image captchas . Does anyone have experience with this Firefox add-on, and is it compatible with JAWS?
