Applications mode

Adrian Spratt

On your question about applications mode, several JAWS users report that
toggling the virtual cursor off with JAWS key+z restores navigation. I don't
know if it will help complete an online form. If it doesn't work, you could
post again.

Hello, I agree! That new captcha voice is terrible! Also, Why does it say 2
words when there are more like 5 or 6? What do we do as totally blind
computer users now that webvisum is gone? Is it gone or just undergoing some
kind of upgrade? As a full time internet marketer for a living myself
captcha sucks! At least with webvisum it solved 90% of my problems but what
now? Also, What does it mean when jaws says application mode? I was trying
to fill out a form today but couldn't get out of this application mode. It
seems like forms mode will not deactivate when I press the pc cursor key.

You can thank Mozilla for the demise of Webvisum. They released new versions of Firefox at such an accelerated rate that the Webvisum development team probably grew sick and tired of trying to keep up with them and finally threw in the towel.

Well, the thing to keep in mind with webvisum, until recently the
program was working but there was absolutely no movement on continued
development or support. So I suspect that the site ran however long
it was paid for having been forgotten about long before that. For
whatever reason the developer lost interest (or maybe they died for
all I know).

Maybe they didn't have enough money to pay the bills. I really didn't use WEBVISUM that much, but if its gone forever, I'm sure I'll find sites I can't use because they have CAPTCHAS I can't solve. I've always thought my hearing was pretty good, but the audio versions that some sites have don't help me much.

I have noticed that to over the last few months. maybe it has something to do with the audio captias on most of the sites?

Re: What Happened To Popular CAPTCHA Solving Tools?

Hi all,
Lately I've noticed that there is a new version of the audio captcha; it has
a different voice set against the muffled background noise. I have a
extremely difficult time understanding this new voice; to me it is very
indistinct. It could be that it is just set at a frequency that I can't hear
as well.
I'm wondering if others have noticed this change, and whether others are
also having a difficult time with it?

And, I still come across captcha fields with no audio or other alternatives.

I know we're beginning to stray off topic here, but to me there very
related. It seems like this is a good list to pose such questions too.

Very unlikely that scripts are made, unless they have been written by a
third-party company specifically for that application. I suggest you
confer
with Freedom Scientific directly to ask the question. Has your client
had a
chance to try JAWS on this application out of the box?

I am working with a person who is trying to use JAWS 12 with an
'electronic
medical record' program made by Connect Tech. Is anyone familiar with
this?
Are there scripts already made? Any information would be helpful.
Thank you.
