Hi,

I know you can right-click with the command shift f10 but I can't
figure out how to left click using the keyboard. Does anyone know how
to do so? I have a laptop not a desktop and I'm using JAWS 13.

thanks,

Dacia

Hello All,
I am wondering, if anyone has used a instant messaging program with Jaws called Pigeon.
I have a friend who uses it, and Jaws was working well with it, but now it doesn't and she can't figure it out.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,

Re: JAWS and OCR

Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS)

Did you download the OCR engine separately, or did you get your update
from a DVD? Installing from disk installs the OCR too, but simply
installing a downloaded file does not. The OCR engine can be found in
the JAWS download area of the FS Web Site.

Subject: JAWS and OCR

Hi all,
I am currently using jaws 10 and thinking of upgrading to jaws 13. So I
am trying a demo of JAWS 13, and am very interested in its possible
ability to read .pdf documents. Can anyone tell me if the newest latest
jaws programs reads .pdf files? And what does this mean? Does it read
.pdf documents which are just images? Or does it have to be saved as
text? And if the answer is that it has to be saved as text, then Adobe
already did that. If, however, it should be able to read a document
which has been saved as an image, can anyone tell me how to get the
program to work. Because it is currently just telling me that it is an
empty document, just as the jaws 10 does.

I would really appreciate your input.

Thanks,
TerriLynne

Hello;
Try the following;

1, open MSWord;

2, insert+v=Jaws Quick Settings;

3, down arrow one time,
Now press the letter E=editing options,

4, arrow down until you hear;
New lines and paragraph indications,
Now press the spacebar until you hear off.
Now press enter.

Hope this helps.

How do I turn this "new line" announcement feature off?

I'm currently using Jaws 13 with Microsoft Word 2010.

Hello;
Try the following;

1, open MSWord;

2, insert+v=Jaws Quick Settings;

3, down arrow one time,
Now press the letter E=editing options,

4, arrow down until you hear;
New lines and paragraph indications,
Now press the spacebar until you hear off.
Now press enter.

Hope this helps.
