Hello Mike,
I followed your proceedure but a Jaws Icon does not appear
in the list of icons to be checked.
.... or is this because Jaws is currently running?
pleas advise

Okay here we
go. Steps for turning on System tray icons and how to rearrange the
system tray icons if you would like to do this.
Turning on
system tray icons: 1. Windows key + I, for Settings, then tab 1 time to,
System. 2. Navigate to, Personalization, press enter, then tab 1 time to
get into the list of options. 3. Down arrow to, Taskbar, press enter. 4.
Tab several times to,Select which icons appear on the Taskbar link, press
enter. 5. Tab through these icons, & press the spacebar to toggle or
turn off / On. If an item is checked it's, On, if it's unchecked it's,
Off. Items that are turned on appear in the system
tray.
Here's how I
rearrange the system tray icons running Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2
latest:
1. Windows
key + I, for Settings, tab 1 time to System, right arrow to Personalization,
and press enter. 2. Navigate to, Taskbar and press enter. 3. Tab several
times to, Show Badges on Taskbar..., and make sure this is, Off /
unchecked. 4. Tab a few times to, Notification Area, Select which icons
appear on the taskbar Link, and press enter. 5. Okay now to put the System
Tray in the order you want it in. Tab through all the icons making a
note of which ones you have checked / turned on because you're going to
uncheck all of them. 6. Uncheck all the icons. Now you will go
through and check the icons in the reverse order you want them in
because , the 1st one yu check will be at the bottom of the list, the
2nd will be 2nd from the bottom, the 3rd will be 3rd from the bottom etc.
etc.... After you're done open the system tray to make sure it's the way
you want it and Alt + F4 if it is, there's not an Okay
button. Note: If you have the Action Center showing in the system
tray I don't know of any way to get that to show anywhere else except at the
bottom. Rearranging the icons using the steps above will put them in
the order you want them, but they'll all be above the Action
Center.

Are you
running Windows 10 or 11? I forget which OS version you're

Hi Mike,
How do I get it to run in the system tray?
Karen
If you don't
run Jaws from the system tray this is normal, but if you do run Jaws from the
system tray it is not.
If you have
Jaws set to run from the system tray try unloading Jaws and reloading, now see
if you can access the menues by arrowing after pressing, Insert +
J.

I must have something set up differently. I can press
insert plus j and it brings up the jaws window and reads the current version,
like it would as a heading. It won’t let me get to the menus this way unless I
press alt h. Is there a setting I need to change in Jaws?
Karen
Press,
Insert + J, up arrow to, Help submenu, press enter, up arrow to, About, press
enter and this is where you'll find the info you're looking
for.

Hi Karen!
You should be able to go to the about JAWS
dialog and it will tell you how many upgrades you have left.
1.
insert+J to open the JAWS context menu 2. press up arrow two time to get to
the about option 3. press enter 4. press insert+alt+W to virtualize the
dialog, this makes it easy to browse what it says. or you could switch to
the JAWS cursor by pressing the numeric keypad -
key.
