You do not need to use File Explorer, to create a
folder on the Desktop. When you are on the Desktop, use the Windows Short Cut
keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+N. An edit field is opened, type the folder name, and
press ENTER, to create the new folder on the Desktop.
