My approach is similar to what Curtis does. The exception is that my PC offers Microsoft Print to PDF as one of the printer

options, so I just hit Control P in the email, then select Microsoft Print to PDF from the printer options and save as a PDF, then do the OCR with JAWS.  Either way, it’s annoying couple extra steps, but I havent’ found a way for Picture Smart to do it directly.  My company is doing this more and more for companywide news blurbs.

You probably have JAWS set to not announce unlabeled graphics. Here is a recommendation.

  1. Copy the entire email to the Clipboard: Control a then Control c.
  2. Open Word into a blank document.
  3. Paste from the Clipboard with Control v.
  4. Save the result into a PDF document.
  5. Find the PDF document and perform a Convenient OCR with JAWS against it.

I need to clarify my original email.  I actually do not know for sure what the image is within the email.  When I down arrow over where it appears the image is, using the little vision I have, JAWS says nothing.  So it seems to be a picture which does have information in it which appears to be in tabular form.

Thanks for any help.

I have an email which I believe has a table embedded within it.  I cannot figure out how to get JAWS to read that.  Can anyone provide a suggestion?  I have tried the layering keystrokes with insert spacebar, but have had no luck so far.
