Hello Mike:
Ah yes, I see now. This is no longer a preference choice in Dropbox. GRR.
That setting which I selected years ago must still be in effect on my system.
Mystery<smile>.
Kindly,
Curtis Chong

I'm running the paid version of Dropbox 143.4.4161, and below are my preferences copied using Jaws speech history. I'm not posting this to debate with anyone, only to show what my preferences are. If the File Explorer option is located
elsewhere, that's a possibility, but I checked all the tabs and it doesn't show in my preferences at all.

Interesting. That option still exists on my updated version of Dropbox for Windows.
Curtis
I'm not sure when it was removed, but that option to open in File Explorer is no longer there and hasn't been for several months. I've been running the paid version of Dropbox for 3 years now and I was running the free version for several
years, but like I said I just noticed the open in File Explorer option missing some months back.

I agree with Curtis. I exclusively use Dropbox to manage files between my laptop and iPhone and fine the file explorer method super easy. I put a shortcut on my desktop and just open that to add files. A couple months ago I needed
to restore an older version of a file. I think it took me a few tries on the website, but that may have been more from inexperience than inaccessibility.

Jim:
The most important part of using Dropbox is to set it up so that when you activate Dropbox, you get into File Explorer and not the Dropbox program itself.
Another thing to keep in mind is that when providing Dropbox links to files or folders, be sure to change the dl=0 to dl=1 text which is at the end of each link.
Cordially,
Curtis Chong
Hi all. It’s been a long time since I used drop box, and I want to reinstall it now. Is it easier to use now, and if not what pit falls to I need to watch for. I am using jaws 22 on a windows 10 computer. Jim
