Hi, Mike. Did you have your number ported from another phone? This is often where problems creep into the process of determining which carrier serves the individual user.

Hi Bill,
I tried this website using my cell phone area code and prefix info and their info was totally wrong! My number is a Verizon domain and their info was,
NEW CINGULAR WIRELESS PCS, LLC
I also filled in all the required fields and the search results came out the same as above. I tried my wife's cell phone info and it came out correct searching with only the area code and prefix.

Hi, Mike. If Dave knows the area code and prefix, the following website will tell him if it is a cell phone or land line prefix, and what carrier that prefix is connected with. Just put the area code and prefix into the corresponding fields, and press ENTER, and all the info will come up.

Yes there sure are providing you know what carrier / domain the cell number is using.
he was looking for a website that will tell you what carrier / domain a cell number is using, or at least that's the way I understood the question.

If it is the domains for eMail to Text someone wants, there are free web pages listing carriers and their associated domains. Like, Verizon customers, you email to: 10 digit number @vtext.com or 10 digit number @vzwpix.com
