You want the perkins, it's essentially the only option.
For a reliable machine look for a second hand one; the newer ones are
very cheaply made and have a habit of jamming or falling apart on you.
Even the ones they (at least used to) sell as 'classic' aren't as
reliable as a good, old, perkins brailler.
If you happen to be in the UK I have two to sell, but otherwise you
should find some on blind sale groups or even often on ebay.

from around $250.00 and I have seen some going for as high as $400.00. Ads
are usually found on blindads a listserv found on, and you can
find ads in the Braille Forum from the American Council of the Blind and the
Braille Monitor from the National Federation of the Blind.
