For now, in conclusion… Brian was kind to spend some time and review the Starbucks email.
He found the coding logic and design confusing. He was unable to recommend a workable solution.
Thus, since he and the Jaws Help folks agreed that I was asking about a difficult problem, I am going back to Starbucks Support to elevate this issue since it affects all Windows screen reader customers. One month ago, this was not an issue. They had a working process that was easy and did the job. Why did they break something that was not broke?
Yes, I could read the email on my iPhone and use Voiceover or I could ask my sighted wife to click on the Join button, but I would prefer to correct the cause of the problem, rather than use a workaround at this time.

Brian, Starbucks sends the user/customer an email that has the ‘join the promo’ link, which is being read by Outlook from Office365 (and BTW I am at the latest version of Jaws). I never get to the Starbucks website to hear ‘congratulations you have joined the promo’ message.
