And, if it is really Jaws 18, the numbering of Jaws releases changed to 2018, 2019, 2020, and now 2021.
Windows 10 works great with the last 3 releases, I’m not sure about 2018.

Jaws 18 is too old to be reliable with the latest versions of Windows 10, Office and browsers and I would highly recommend you try and upgrade to the latest version of Jaws. After all, Jaws 18 was released in the fall of 2016 which is over 5 years ago and that was only a year after Windows 10 was first released at the end of July of 2015.
I love the Brave browser. For some reason, unknown to me, I am unable to hear, using Jaws 18, and Windows 10, what I type into Microsoft Edge. Without tabbing first and tabbing back to what it was I typed.
With all my other browsers this isn’t a problem. Sent from Mail for Windows 10
This, by the way, is virtually identical in all Chromium based browsers whether it's Google Chrome, Edge or Brave.
Thank you very much.
go to settings and arrow down to at start up. there are 3 check boxes. 1 open new tab. 2 blank page. 3 open page or set of pages. check that box and put in your home page.
