Google docs is a world unto itself. Pressing Pressing ctrl+alt+z turns on screen reader mode. There are a number of JAWS webinars about using Google docs with JAWS, as well as information under (probably) support.google.com and TCSAccess.com/youtube.

Good luck!

Thank you! Will that fix the fact that after the words are typed, they
cannot be read back?

First, assuming he is using JAWS, be sure that the virtual cursor is turned
off with insert+z.

Hi,

I am helping a teacher and student team with Google Docs. The student
is experiencing an issue where once he types something into Google
Docs, he can't read it back. Another thing that is happening is that
when he is in a Google Doc, whatever is in the document will not read.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jasmine
