I’ve got a google account, which of course is connected to youtube (youtube being a google service). I have subscribed to many channels at this point. If you do this, you will usually see links to new content those channels post on your youtube homepage. It’s also just a good way to keep track of the channels you like and visit frequently. Apparently this is considered an “old-school” way of using youtube nowadays, but I only really started taking advantage of it in the last year and change.
Did you have any more specific questions about it?

Subject: YouTube subscriptions questions and best practices
I’m finding more reasons that I want to follow a certain channel on YouTube, such as the Freedom Scientific tutorial videos. I’m assuming this would make it easier to find the channel and look for videos I might want to watch. Is subscribing to the channel the correct method? Does it work well with JAWS? Do I need a YouTube account for this?
Using Windows 10, JAWS 2021, Office 365 and MS Edge.
