I’m only in Outlook 2016, so I don’t know if Outlook 2019 handles attachments a bit differently. Are you allowing Outlook to open the attachment as a preview? I find that doesn’t work well with speech. I’d recommend using Shift Tab or Insert A to bring focus to the attachments, then copying the one you want to your documents folder and opening it from there in whatever program is appropriate. If you are simply hitting enter on the attachment, it might be opening in preview mode right there in Outlook. I recall this being a default setting in Outlook, but I changed that so long ago I’m not positive if I have the steps right. I think you might want to disable “live preview” in the Outlook Options. It’s under the General Tab.

How can I, on a Win. 10 computer with latest JAWS build and Outlook 2019, get JAWS to recognize more than one column in an attachment—e.g., the list of board members in a meeting agenda(which it does recognize and read) plus the list of meeting activities? Thanks!
