Vispero announces new partnership with CNIB

TORONTO, November 4, 2020 – CNIB, Canada’s largest non-profit serving people with sight loss, has signed a new partnership agreement with Vispero, the world’s largest assistive technology provider for the visually impaired.

Vispero delivers a high-quality line of optical and video magnifiers; wearables; scanning and reading devices; and easy-to-use software designed and developed to deliver innovative solutions that enable blind and low vision individuals to reach their full potential.

“We are thrilled to partner with CNIB as our missions are both centered around empowering those who are blind or low vision live full independent lives,” says Corneliu Hoza, Managing Director of Optelec Canada. “We believe this partnership is instrumental in being able to bring accessibility technology to more individuals all across Canada.”

Through this partnership, people with sight loss across Canada will have greater access to Vispero’s products, including ones from their Freedom Scientific, Enhanced Vision, and Optelec brands as soon as they launch. Vispero’s products will be available through all of CNIB’s enterprises including CNIB Smartlife, CNIB Frontier Accessibility and its affiliate organization, Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada. In this exciting partnership, CNIB becomes the exclusive supplier of Vispero products in select regions across the country.

In addition, Vispero will provide a dramatically increased training and support program for all CNIB and Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada staff via webinars, phone support and internal education courses. Vispero will also be offering CNIB an expanded distribution of demonstration units so users can experience the products first-hand before making a selection. CNIB will also benefit from significantly improved delivery times so clients can get their Vispero products right when they need them.
