Need to do this while Outlook 2010 is open, however. It will not show up on
the volume mixer if it's not open. No one has yet stipulated to this
requirement.

Hi Tom,

To get to the Windows 7 sound mixer directly, do the following.

Hit the windows key.

In the search field, type the following.

Sndvol and hit enter.

You will be in the sound mixer dialog box where you can control all sound
sources.
