If you’re wanting documentation on how to use the Focus series of Bluetooth Braille displays, I think you can find it on the FS website. I lost my copy, or I’d give it to you. I’ll find another though, probably from Freedom Scientific.

Thank you so much. I will be using braille primarly rather than speech, so will need those braille comands. I'm using a focus display. Where do I find the html documents you speak of? [Still having trouble browsing the web the ms shge]

The reason I have returned to windows is that I'm studying a music degree, and will use software that the mac will not support. Also, I figured that getting a job etc one day, most will use windows. So decided to return to windows.

I can answer 1 of your questions. To mute JAWS, press INSERT/JAWS KEY+SPACE BAR, then press the letter S. To unmute JAWS, use the same command sequence.

Subject: new to jaws after 10 years using a mac

 Hello all,

I recently purchased my first windows pc for over ten years and have jaws 2020. I also have a Focus braille display.

First of all, is there a way of navigating the screen using the focus display? Switching between display and keyboard is quite annoying, or perhaps I just need to get used to it. Also, how do I mute the speech and then unmute it again when necessary.

Lastly, is there a document, or book [in brf or word] with help on how to use jaws? I don't do well with audio and prefer a written reference if possible.

Thank you so much for your help.
