There are definitely Windows Keyboard shortcuts of the Windows Logo Key class that do this. Go to the Windows Keyboard Shortcuts Page, expand either all of the commands or only the Windows Logo Key section. Search for Windows Logo Key + Left Arrow, and you're in the section about maximizing to the left/right half of the screen and further down they get into vertical, rather than horizontal, stacking.
