Don,

          I do have Windows Live Mail 2012 installed, but I would advise anyone, including you, that's attempting to use it with Gmail to switch to another, supported, email client that handles modern security protocols.

          I cannot even get Windows Live Mail 2012 to behave consistently with a Gmail account when the Google setting to allow less secure apps is turned on.  If it's off, it fails entirely.

          I've helped a lot of people get Windows Live Mail up and running even after it went out of support.  I won't be doing that going forward because it does appear to be getting flaky, which I knew would eventually happen.  I'm telling everyone to wash their hands of it, as matters will only continue to get worse with the passing of time.
