Success. Thanks. I was also able to pin it on the task bar. I think it did not worked before because I have a wireless keyboard and my application key is shift f10.

Hello there;

Well, not sure why you can't do it the way I suggested,
So give this a try;

1, desktop,

2, ctrl+spacebar to unselect any icon,

3, press application key,
Down arrow and enter on,
New sub menu,
Now arrow and choose shortcut,
Now type in,
Sndvol.exe
Tab next enter,
You will see, sndvol.exe
Tab finish enter.
Now try the shortcut which should be on desktop.

Same steps apply to create hotkey.

Hello there;

Well,
Here's a way you can put sndvol on the desktop,

1, windows-key your placed in the search edit field,

2, type;
Sndvol

3, you will hear sndvol,
Press applications key,
Up arrow to SendTo,sub-menu,
Either press enter or right arrow to open,
Down arrow and enter on desktop create shortcut.
You now have icon on desktop,
Now, yu can create hotkey by highlighting
Sndvol,
Bring up properties,
Alt+enter,
Tab over to,
Shortcut key none,
And for example, you could type, the letter "v"=volume,
And then press enter.

Now, by pressing the alt+ctrl+v,
The volume mixer will open.

Hi David,

Do you know how I can get sndvol as a shortcut on my start menu? I can
launch sndvol from start menu search edit box but it never appears as a
shortcut on the start menu. I'm using Windows 7.
